I wanted to create a dreamy background and for that, I used a few Memento Inks and a jumbo dauber to add a well-blended background. Next, I added a few spatters of shimmer spritz on the card to add the beautiful shine. I stamped the critters using Nocturne VersaFine Clair ink and quickly colored them with a few memento markers and a water-brush. I fussy cut the images and adhered it on the inked card panel. I finished the card with a sentiment in black.

Handmade greeting card featuring several rose images made using several kinds of ink with a layered stamp set.

Layered Roses Card

I have used one of my all-time favorite Rose stamp for this card project. I love this stamp because of its realistic layering effect. To achieve this beautiful layering I used a couple of ink types today because you don't have to use all one type of ink when using layered stamps! I used the Memento Inkpads, our brand new Stazon Pigment inks, Radiant Neon inkpad, and VersaMagic inkpads & I was very happy to see the final outcome and the way they all work together.

Handmade greeting card with shiny two-toned lips using Memento and Brilliance inks.

Two-tone Stamping with Shine

I love to create backgrounds for my cards and using fun techniques to add more interest. To make this fun love card today I used not only a really fun multi-color stamping technique but also, a SHINY INK PAD!! The Brilliance Pearlescent Coral ink pad was perfect for stamping this background and adding some shine for even more interest on this CAS card!

Handmade greeting card featuring a plaid background made using VersaMagic Inks on kraft cardstock.

Plaid Pattern Background with VersaMagic Inks

To highlight the the versatile properties of the creamy and blendable chalk-finish ink called VersaMagic, I will show you how to make this cute plaid pattern background. The pigment ink shows up brilliantly on the kraft cardstock, but matches it's matte tone. This ink is beautifully thick and shows on darker cardstocks too.

Collage of images created by stamping StazOn Pigment on watercolor paper elements and layering together.

Stamped "Collage" using StazOn Pigment

I love StazOn Pigment ink about as much as I love stamping!  Finding ways to maximize the use of this mixed media ink would be a big win in my book! How to go about achieving this goal? A stamped collage, of course!  Multiple stamps + multiple StazOn Pigment inks = Happy Stamper!

Sympathy Card using VersaFine Clair and Copic Markers

Today, I share how to use VersaFine Clair in multiple ways! This fabulous ink allows for crisp clean stamping. However, it also can be used over many mediums including Alcohol Markers, like Copics. It works wonderfully for embossing sentiments even on vellum and can be used under many mediums such as Perfect Medium. Today, I share a few of my favorite techniques using VersaFine Clair.

Shimmery Tone-on-Tone Florals

Two handmade Thank You cards made with the same inks but in alternating orders for two different looks.

Coral and Purple Thank You Cards

I couldn't resist using this gorgeous Radiant Neon ink in Neon Coral!! It is really stunning. I wanted a bold contrasting color to pair it with, so I chose the VersaFine Clair in Fantasia. They are a match made in heaven! I absolutely love the way the colors play off of each other. They are both strong, bold colors on their own and yet they work fabulously together!

I made both of these Thank You cards at the same time and they were completed quickly. Sometimes it's nice to have a simple, yet beautiful thank you card ready to give at a moments notice.

Mixed Media statement piece with a quote, made by upcyclcing a piece of packaging.

Upcycled Mixed Media Statement Piece

The inspiration for this piece was the quote I included on the canvas. I am forever on the lookout for inspiring and uplifting quotes. Things that make you think, or give you the push you need to move forward. I really also love working with upcycled materials. We don't need more trash in the landfills, right?! I knew that my Imagine mixed media products would work wonders to make this piece come alive! When i'm working with resin pieces, I always reach for my Fireworks sprays and All-Purpose Ink. They both cover beautifully. This quote on the canvas is very near to my heart and all of the elements came together perfectly to give it a home.

Two handmade cards featuring sparkly rianbow backgrounds made using Memento Markers and Sheer Shimmer Stix.

Blended Rainbow card with Sheer Shimmer Stix

I LOVE anything and everything rainbow in cardmaking, and if it sparkles, that's even better! Making a rainbow watercolor background is pretty simple, but adding a good amount of sparkle without making mud can be more tricky. The Shimmer Stix are the PERFECT applicator to make a fun background that keeps its bright and vibrant colors without sacrificing any of the sparkle! I was so excited that the Shimmer Stix worked for this technique and can't wait to try them with an ombre background, next!! I walk you through two cards in this video, a birthday and hello card, plus check out the insides of them too!!

Hand painted canvas using stamps and inks to make a image inspired by Impressionism

Stamping inspired by Impressionism

We all need a little inspiration sometimes and, for this project, I took my inspiration from the Impressionism style of paintings from the 1860s.  It resulted in a fun project using the All-Purpose inks and other Imagine products to create a miniature floral scene on a 4”x4” flat panel canvas.

Handmade Journal cover with butterflies and sentiment

Beautiful Art Journal Design

Who wants to “Make things happen” in 2019?  I sure do and that is what inspired me to make this 4” x 6” Art Journal page featuring a variety of Imagine products. The tutorial includes how to use your Craft Mat to create a watercolor background effect with irRESISTible sprays as well as how to create a watercolor palette for detail coloring with Memento inks.

Mixed Media Tag for Valentines

I'm always looking for different textures to include in my paper crafting projects. It's a fun challenge for me and this tag really brought some interesting textures together in a great way! I can always count on Imagine to have just the right product to bring gorgeous color to these textures. Fireworks spray really shines when used over a stencil textured background. You will see in this video, I add a little water and the shimmer and pigment will settle in between the shapes, giving great depth to this tag. I also really love that I can layer different colors of Fireworks spray over the top of each other. I used irRESISTible Pico Embellisher on the wire mesh texture to give it a little bit of color.  It's just thick enough to fill the holes and looks fantastic! I wanted the resin hearts to be stark white and stand out so I used All-Purpose Ink in White, which provided great coverage and opacity. Watch my video today and like and share if you enjoy it!

Handmade valentine card featuring a resist pattern created with GooseBumps Spray

Valentines with Emboss Resist Using Goosebumps Spray

I am a clean and simple cardmaker who likes to focus on techniques, so the GooseBumps spray is PERFECT for my style of cardmaking! Using the spray and Versafine Clair inks together is a fast and easy way to create a fun and vibrant background for the upcoming Valentine's Day holiday! (Plus I added a little sparkle, because who can resist that??)

Handmade card featuring layered stamped butterflies that are arranged to create a pop up element inside the greeting card.

Handmade valentine card veaturing a cute gold frame

Layered Valentine's Card with Cute Frame

I just love using Imagine products with different finishes and textures together in a mixed media card.  The background of this Valentine card has shimmer from the Fireworks spray, dimension from the irRESISTible Pico Embellisher, and shine like no other from the Goosebumps spray!  Also, All Purpose Ink is fantastic for use on resin or clay shapes.  You can paint or spray it on for really great coverage.  The sparkle and shine from the embossing powder really makes the paper frame stand out!

Create an Ombre Background Using VersaFine Clair and Vellum Flowers

For this card I heat embossed a few flower images with white embossing powder on vellum. I used my sharp pair of scissors to fussy cut them. To create the background I have used Versafine Clair inks which are very highly pigmented and also blend beautifully with each other. I used a jumbo dauber to add the colors. The sunset ombre looks so beautiful and then arranged the flowers on the card. To finish the card I added few splatters of the shimmer spray and a sentiment.

Fun handmade card with handmade background paper made using Memento DewDrop Inkpads and Imagine's Craft Mat

The new Imagine Craft Mat is great for creating all kinds of backgrounds for cards. This one was created using Memento Dewdrop Inks and the grid side of the craft mat.  Watch my video below to see how I did it. Enjoy!

Handmade grungy mixed media heart shaped red journal

Grungy Heart-Shaped Journal

This project is all about making something out of nothing.  At least, nothing as in a piece of corrugated cardboard from a discarded box and lined paper from an old notebook.  These reuse items, paired with a few Imagine Fireworks sprays, create a beautiful notebook that would be a great gift for friends or family.  In the tip video, I will show you how to use Fireworks sprays with a liquid varnish to create a permanent finish.  This is a helpful tip especially if you are into Mixed Media.

Handmade card featuring a winter tree scene in a mason jar shape.

Scene in a Jar Greeting Card

I heat embossed few images with white embossing powder and added color by rubbing the Dewdrop Ink pad directly on them. The embossing created a resist and it was super duper quick to have colored elements ready for the card. I heat embossed a sentiment on vellum and also created a wooden plank background using Versafine Clair ink. This was a quick card to create and you can do similar cards for your friends and family for Christmas or other winter time holidays.

Handmade 5.5 inch square encouragement card with a colorful teal and purple color scheme made using Dewlet die cuts.

Handmade holiday card with a snowy background and snowman image

Snowy Background Holiday Card

Doodlestix, embossing powder, and Fireworks spray team up to make the most wonderful wintery background for the cute snowman!  I really love making impressions with stamps in embossing powder. You can get some very exciting and sometimes unexpected results.  The Doodlestix worked perfectly to help create a swirling winter snow scene for this mixed media card.

Handmade missing you card featuring rain drop shapes made with DewDrop Inkpads and Dewlet Die Cuts.

Raindrop Themed Shaker Card

I love a versatile tool and the Dewlet die is just that. The perfect little (but not too little) teardrop for petals, leaves, raindrops, balloons, and whatever else you think of. In this card, I’ve used the die as a stencil to draw out a pattern as well as a die to cut out shapes in that pattern. And that simple repeating pattern gets jazzed up with pen detailing, glitter, and a couple of shaker windows, too.

If you get the blues being away from friends and family, this is a sweet card to say how much you miss them. Change up the color scheme or sentiment, though, and it could easily be a baby or wedding shower card. Add some flowers and you’ve got an April Showers card. All from a simple repeating background and a few well-chosen embellishments.

Handmade winter snow themed card featuring spinning snowflakes.

Snowflake Spinner Card

I adore blue and silver as a holiday color scheme (or any time of year, for that matter). I created this card with a frosted-looking inside scene (courtesy of Creative Medium mixed with VersaColor) and a fun spinner element in the front-panel frame. The Rinea foiled paper is sturdy enough to hold its shape, even when cut so delicately, making this card a real display piece for the holidays.

Handmade red snowflake holiday and christmas card.

Glowing Red Glittery Snowflake

For today’s card, I used the Sparkle Embossing Powder to create the beautiful snowflake on a bright red cardstock. I used VersaMark Embossing Ink to stamp the snowflake. Once the embossing powder was melted I blended some red inks with a sponge dauber around the edges of the card. This adds a beautiful glow to the card and I finished the card with a sentiment in black. This is a perfect project to be mass-produced for your Christmas cards.

Handmade cute and simple card featuring an oversized daisy made with Dewlet etched metal dies.

Dewlet Daisy Flower Card

For today’s card, I used the new Dewlets Die to create a beautiful paper daisy. I used the die to cut out a few petals and adhered it on the card panel with the On Point Glue. Then I created a striped pattern on the card base using washi tape and VersaFine ink. To jazz up the flower I added tiny dots using the Pico embellisher, which is super shiny and dimensional. I finished the card with a sentiment "Wish Big". This is a perfect project to be done with kids.

Handmade shiny metallic card featuring 3D flowers perfect to go with any wedding gift.

Shiny 3D Flowers

For today’s Wedding Day card, I used the Rinea Foil Papers which can be embossed, die cut and shaped. I used a floral die set to cut the flower petals and with the help of a metal brad fixed them together. Once the flowers were punched, I shaped the flowers and leaves with my hands which was so much fun. I added the 3D elements on a silver Foil paper and finished the card with a sentiment in black. I love the way these gorgeous flowers pop forward and create this beautiful effect.

A handmade mixed media style holiday card featuring a penguin image and blue colors.

Penguin Mixed Media Holiday Card

Winter is right around the corner and I love when the snow covers the landscape! When I received the Frosted sampler pack of Rinea papers, I couldn't resist making a winter card with a cute penguin stamp. I didn't have white Creative Medium to make my snowflake background, so I mixed some All-Purpose Ink in the clear Creative Medium and achieved great results! I created a wintery background with Doodlestix, a Gelli Press, All-Purpose Inks, and Fireworks sprays from Imagine.

Handmade mixed media style autumn themed card

Metallic and Distressed Autumnal Greeting Card

I love making mixed media cards! It is a smaller canvas to work with and you can experiment with different products together. Imagine always has just the right tools for this beautiful copper metallic and golden-hued theme! For November, Imagine is working with Rinea papers and I am having so much fun experimenting with how they emboss and handle ink products! I used the Walnut spray and Creative Medium on the Rinea paper and made a beautiful fall card.

Handmade placecard name tag holder in the shape of a cornucopia made with Rinea foil and Memento Markers.

Cornucopia Table Place Cards

Since Rinea foil papers are gorgeous on both sides, I wanted to make something with them that showed off that feature. Paper “sculptures” are good for this, and with the Thanksgiving holidays approaching, a cornucopia seemed the best way to go. It’s a simple shape in that it’s mostly a cone, but to give it a little of a curve, the pattern I’ve devised shifts the “spine” bit by bit on the bottom half of the sheet to add just enough curve to keep things interesting. These place card holders work up quickly, so preparing a table-full will still leave you with plenty of time for holiday fun.

Handmade paper gingerbread garland made with StazOn Studio Glaze from Tsukineko

Gingerbread House Garland

Die cuts and a few choice supplies combine to create this darling little gingerbread house garland. Not only is it perfect for the holidays, it’s an ideal craft to let kids help decorate (after the embossing is done!) and it would also look super sweet at a fairy tale themed event—think Hansel and Gretel and the witch’s house in the woods. A fun technique used in this project is layering the StazOn Studio Glaze while still wet. Drawing the tip of the Claret StazOn Studio Glaze bottle over the Cotton White made for near-seamless candy cane stripes once dried. Also, I’ve found it helps to be very generous with the Cotton White, especially on darker papers or backgrounds, if you want it to retain some opacity.

Handmade christmas cards made using simple shapes cut out and adding fun decorations to complete the looks.

Using Simple Shapes to Make Holiday Cards

There are so many cute and fun stamps and dies on the market these days for the holidays that it’s truly tough to resist them. I don’t know about you but there’s only so much room in the budget and the stamp storage to go around, so I’m always happy to come up with ways to use the things I already have and getting more mileage out of my tools and supplies. To that end, these cards use patterned stamps that are not holiday-specific and simple shapes you can cut with basic dies, punches, or even just scissors. These simple shape cards are also perfect for crafting with kids in preparation for the holidays!

Handmade alien themed card made using fun mixed media supplies from Imagine.

Shimmery Greetings From Outer Space

How about a little out-of-this-world fun? WHen trying to come up with a unique card I thought of the theme aliens, so created this sky scene with shades of grey and silver and drew up some simple saucers to decorate the skies. In the video, you’ll also see how I fixed a goof and rescued the card front from a galactic disaster!

Cute and simple thinking of you card that is quick and easy to make.

Shiny Pico Florets

For today’s card, I used one tiny stamp and VersaFine in Onyx Black to create a cute and simple card design. I stamped the open line flower image all over the card stock and then used the Irresistible Pico Embellisher to fill the petals. The shine you get after the product dries is breathtaking. I love the simple yet unusual look of the card.

Beautiful brown hues on a homemade card acheived by watercoloring with Walnut Ink Crystals.

Walnut Ink Crystal Florals

I stamped a beautiful flower bunch from Simon Says Stamp with Brilliance Ink on a watercolor paper. I added some water on a small scoop of Walnut Crystals and painted the entire bunch with it. This is a monotonic theme card and I have used only one pigment to create all the highlights and shadows. I stamped a simple sentiment with Pinecone Versafine Clair ink and the painted panel is ready.

Ink is not just for paper. You can use it on fabric, metal and more specifically Polyform clay. You can use inks to transform polymer clay projects into a wide variety of pieces. Use ink to simply color your clays projects, use with stamps to add designs, or blend it into the clay to create a new color clay. For this project, I create three different bowls using Sculpey Souffle clay with VesaMagic Dew Drop and StazOn inks and demonstrate several techniques when using inks. Hope I pique your interest and give these projects a try.

DIY Stamping on Canvas Shoes

I love altering and customizing things and shoes are one of my favorite things to upcycle. In today's video, I show you how to take an inexpensive pair of plain white canvas shoes and stamp them with various floral images. I used Versafine Clair and Fabrico Markers for this project. One of the coolest aspects of this project is that you can choose whatever stamps and images that are best for you!

Make a Shabby Chic Wedding Banner

I used kraft banner pendants with doilies and gorgeous flowers to create a beautiful wedding banner. My favorite part is the delicate rosebuds created with Creative Medium in Iridescent Purple. Against the kraft paper, it pops just enough to create a wonderful background. It has a gorgeous finish that is delicate enough for wedding decor, yet bold enough to catch your attention. This banner would be a lovely decoration on the front of the wedding party table, near the gift table, or where ever a bride might find it is needed!

Two spring themed handmade greeting cards featuring rainboot images.

Rainboots Themed "Happy Spring" Card

VersaMagic inks have a longer drying time so they are perfect to use with stencils where you can use multiple colors, and even blend them if desired. I love to use stencils, but I really don't like to waste the ink that is left on them. Rather than clean the stencil, I like to lightly spritz the inked side of the stencil, flip it over, and place it on the second piece of cardstock creating a watercolored panel. See how I created two cards with the same stencil!

Make a Paper Rainbow Pinwheel Wreath

It's April! Can you believe it? I wanted to make something fun for summer to hang on our front door and I think this rainbow pinwheel wreath is just the ticket. It’s bright, cheerful and welcoming to all who grace our doorstep. I decided to use 21 different colors of VersaMagic ink to grace my rainbow but of course, any color theme would be perfect for this project. The complete color list can be found in the supply list below.

Handmade paper flower bouquet perfect to use for a beautiful bouqeut to toss at a weeding.

Make Wedding Flowers from Coffee Filters

Flowers are one of the most expensive parts of weddings and yet it’s difficult to picture a modern wedding without copious amounts of them. When I got married I had far more time than money (we had a two-year engagement) so I used that time to craft all the paper goods, decorations including the flowers and even part of my wedding dress. In this video, I’ll show you how to make four types of flowers out of coffee filters that I’ve dyed with Fireworks Craft Spray and Walnut Ink, making them completely customizable to your wedding, shower, or party theme, as well as how to turn them into boutonnieres and small bouquets.

A simple and elegant shabby chic wedding table setting including a napkin ring, menu card holder, cutlery placeholder and glass coasters all with a white doily theme.

Simple, Elegant and Inexpensive Wedding Table Setting

Planning to make wedding table decorations? I've planned out an idea for this that is based on easy-to-find supplies, not requiring crafting machines or things that would be difficult to use after this project is complete. I also was interested in it being easy to prepare but still elegant. By creating several easy-to-make matching pieces, the cost of the basic crafting supplies is still quite low per setting.

Using the kraft cardstock as the background, you have the option to play with more color choices on the embossing powder or the dyed flowers with the Fireworks! Simmery Craft Sprays. I estimate of the cost for 100 place-settings is about $150. One A3 kraft page makes an entire setting.

How to Personalize a Moleskine Notebook

Can you ever have too many notebooks? I think not! I love to add more to my collection (and even get around to using them sometimes) but sometimes the best quality notebooks fly under the decorative radar. This gives them all kinds of great potential on the outside, just like the blank pages are inside. For the Moleskine notebook, I’ve used Fabrico and All-Purpose inks to decorate it with some cute monkeys, designating this notebook for future cute and cheeky thoughts!

A gorgeaus floral teal card made using brilliance and ultimate metallic inkers from Tsukineko as well as cute embellishements like sewing and a button.

Learn How to Use Inkers to Create Texture in a DIY Card

This month Imagine is celebrating terrific shades of teal and there are quite a few beautiful inks to bring to this party. I love teal and some of my favorite inks include a bit of shimmery goodness in them too. Let’s take a look at how to use these amazing colors with some unique techniques that include plastic wrap, texture paste and sewing to create a fun floral themed card.

Create A Tangerine Rose Card

Shades of Tangerine make for a really interesting and effective summertime vibe. Take a look at how blending 3 different shades of Tangerine using StazOn, Memento Luxe and Radiant Neon can really make a resist embossed image come to life. I created this handmade card using my favorite ink pads in shades of orange.

Party Donut Straws

Happy National Donut Day!!  Who’s hungry for some donuts??  This is an easy way to spend the holiday with your loved ones… by eating donuts and adding donuts to practically anything!

Make a Delightful Lapis Blue Jar

Neva shows you how to use StazOn inks to color votive glass.

Electric Neon Hello Card

Layer Radiant Neon ink and stack die cuts with On Point Glue to create a dynamic textured look.

Double Embossing

Embossing is the easy way to create texture in papercrafts. But, did you know you can layer different embossing powders on the same paper? Double embossing is simple, fun and you only need to understand embossing basics to achieve this cool effect.

Mixed Media Masking Techniques with Fireworks!

Fireworks! spray provides an easy way to turn simple white papers into vibrant, colorful backgrounds for card projects. When working on one-layer projects, the stamped image needs to be protected with a mask to avoid the wet ink getting on the main image. For this technique, no special supplies are needed as the masks are created using cheap masking tape and baking paper or wax paper. This technique can be used for various projects; ATC’s, standard sized cards, scrapbook layouts, and art journal pages.

Wishing you the Best this Year

'Hope for a great year' is always a great sentiment in the month of January. Tenia Nelson from Jazzy Paper Designs creates this super fun card that can be sent to loved ones for encouragement and hope!

Trio of Faux Metal Holiday Houses

This project was inspired by some gorgeous wire, metal, and glass lanterns we spotted in a shop last year. They were not for sale (more’s the pity), but that never stops a crafter—at least not for long! With some paper maché houses and the help of shimmery Delicata inks, these holiday houses have a perfect patina of aged metal.

Bless Our Nest

I realize that I have more bird, and bird related stamps than I care to admit, so I decided to literally pick 2 stamps at random and make something – it was really hard since I have an amazing collection to choose from. But it also inspired me to get creative and to actually use ones that have not seen the light of day in a while. I wanted to create some fun textures and so pulled out one of my new Kaleidacolor inkpads to play with along with some Creative Medium for some fun textured effects.

Webbed Masquerade

Halloween party in your near future? No idea what you’re going to wear? No problem – grab a couple bottles of StazOn Studio Glaze, a bit of tulle and you’re in business. You can be the belle of the ball – or in this case Spiderella of the ball. Create your very own one of a kind mask and wow all of the spooks on All Hallows Eve.

DIY Scratch & Sniff Sticker

Remember scratch & sniff stickers? Nadine Carlier shows you how to create your own using embossing powder.

Sparkling Background with Tear It! Tape

I had this picture of my two boys and me on my craft table since Mother’s Day. They both gave me handmade cards, which brought tears to my eyes because they know me so well ♥ I wanted to store those cards somewhere on the layout. Therefore I used a white paper bag at the bottom of all the layers.

Puzzling Earrings

I like to think outside the so-called box. Anyone can work on a puzzle—but a wearable puzzle, now that’s a challenge. So here you have a fun, colorful way to wear a puzzle and look stunning while you do.

Amplify Your Party

Sometimes I feel a certain amount of pressure to have my hands in every little facet of every single project, but I only have two hands and 24 hours in a day–something’s gotta give! I’m willing to bet you can empathize. So when I can’t handcraft each and every piece of party stationery to my liking, I at least like to do some strategic embellishments and updates to custom-printed or store-bought stationery. For an upcoming birthday luau, Radiant Neon Amplify! was just the ticket to add a little texture and dimension to our invitations, thank you cards, and buffet signs.

Happy Together

When I had these neon colors in my hands I couldn't resist the idea to create something fun and happy. In today's project I used the Amplifly over stencil to create design and texture, and Kaleidacolor ink to make a smooched water coloring for my background.  Come and see how I create these fun techniques for our Poetry Challenge.

Go Confidently In The Direction of Your Dreams

I love large background stamps! Especially the ones using beautiful, romantic scripts. There is nothing easier to create your own custom backgrounds with these stamps, some embossing powder and pigment ink.

My Daddy, My Hero!

My husband is our little girl’s everything; she has him wrapped around her little finger. I have watched her eyes light up from the time she was just a little baby to now almost turning eight whenever he walks into the room. This poem says it all!

Found Poetry Bookmark

When you’re at a loss for words, the best inspiration is someone else’s. This bookmark uses a technique popular in altered books and a favorite of artists like Austin Kleon: found poetry. In found poetry you pick out the words you want and cover everything else, leaving only your message behind. You can do this with books, magazines, newspapers — even junk mail — but for this bookmark the narrow column of a newspaper or magazine article is just the right size.

Blossom Your Creativity

So glad you could join us today at Imagine Crafts. Today I bring to you a mixed media journal page created by the poetry sentiment.

A Poem Lovely As A Tree

Trees by Joyce Kilmer is one of my favorite poems. Living in the country I have had the opportunity to enjoy trees all my life. It’s a wonder to view them through the seasons and enjoy the various stages of life. They truly are a lovely.

Stopping By Woods on a Snowy Evening

I suffer from a nearly lifelong love of poetry. Okay, the suffering? Not so much. The thing I love about poetry is that a single, simple wellturned phrase can take me someplace far away. Such is the case with much of the poetry by Robert Frost, but especially with his poem, “Stopping By Woods on a Snowy Evening”.

DIY Lace Mason Jar Storage

January – out with the old, in with the new…time for a fresh start and along with that fresh start is a time to get organized. But organizing doesn’t have to be boring, spice up your organizational containers with a bit of help from Creative Medium!

One Word Planner Dashboard

For the past four years I’ve been picking a single word that is my guide for the next 12 months. I like to put this word some place I’m going to see it a lot, so my planner is the perfect place to showcase it. The paper planner community has been growing by leaps and bounds, lately, and custom dashboards are a great way to personalize a planner. This dashboard is designed for an A5/half-letter, ring-bound planner, but can easily be made into whatever size or binding style you need.

VersaMark: 3 Ways to Rock On in 2016!

It is time to head into a brand New Year, and with this card we can celebrate and Rock On 2016!  There are only two inks used for this card, Versa Mark Watermark and Memento Tuxedo Black.  Versa Mark Ink is very versatile (pun intended!) and is used for three different fun techniques to create the dimension and texture for this project.

You're Super Old...And Cute!

New Year's for me is when you start a new year of life, a new opportunity, a new calendar or simply when you want to celebrate something new.  Today I created a special card for our New Year's Inspiration Challenge. It is a birthday card to celebrate a new year of life and on this card I am using fun techniques to create backgrounds, coloring stamped images and create textures over different materials. Come and enjoy with me!

Go Wild with Monoprinting!

I used several techniques and many fun products to create this sweet elephant card. Let me show you how.

New Year Resolution File Folder

With the New Year just around the corner we are ringing it in with some glitz and glamour with a fun resolutions file folder. I used Delicata ink to dress up this file folder for a fuin and festive look. This year I will pen down my hopes and dreams and blessings, so that I can reflect on them at the end of 2016 and feel really really blessed!

Make Art Everyday!

When it comes to art- what brings you motivation for 2016? For me it is creating more art in the new year. This journal page has several three dimensional elements created out of paper and ink.

Merry Wishes – Decorated Kraft Paperbag for Christmas Cookies

Everybody loves Christmas cookies! With Christmas right around the corner, I love to have several decorated kraft bags at hand to give my homemade cookies to family, friends or teachers. A pretty packaging makes the cookies taste even more delicious, doesn’t it?

Last Minute Gifts—Three Dimensional Vertigo Christmas Ornament

It is so fun to create a beautiful ornament during the busy Christmas holiday. I often craft hand-made gifts for friends or co-workers to celebrate the season, as well as new ornaments for our personal Christmas tree. This Vertigo ornament is also perfect for an ornament exchange and is easy to produce with just a few supplies and tools.

A Perfect Gift!

Gift this lovely DIY box. Perfect for holidays, birthdays, anniversaries and more!

Merry Christmas, Wherever You Are

Despite winter’s chill, there are two things warming my heart these days: Christmas fun and the upcoming SciFi goodness of both Star Wars and Star Trek. Since I have quite a few fellow geeks on my Christmas list, I thought--why not combine the two? After all, what’s colder than space? This card is also perfect for any long-distance holiday greeting, space-fan or not.

Snow, Wonderful Snow!

I live in the Northwest and one of my favorite things to see is snow layering the fir trees up in the mountains. Add a crisp moonlit night to the mix and it’s magic! I managed to capture some of that feeling using stencils and Creative Medium.

Creative Medium Matchbox Musicbox

This tutorial is about Creative Medium and using it to produce amazingly textured designs. My inspiration comes from my childhood when I collected matchboxes from every restaurant I visited. Without matches it was just an empty box but perfect for small rocks, beads, etc. One day while creating unique boxes for jewelry Presto! the idea of a greeting card was born. About 18 years ago I revisited some cards I’d made and thought, what would happen if I dismantled a large matchbox and used it for something other than storage? The answer is a Match Box Music Box. This box is Christmas-themed but these keepsake gifts can be made for any occasion..

This tutorial may seem rather involved, but I guarantee you it’s worth the all the time, the effort and attention to detail.

Happy Hanukkah!

With the winter holidays coming soon [Christmas, Hanukkah and Kwanzaa] I decided to start with the first of three, Hanukkah, known as the ‘festival of lights.’ Here’s the card and ‘how to’ tutorial…enjoy!

Dazzling Brilliance Wreath

I love the scent of gingerbread baking on a cold, frosty day, so I wanted to evoke that feeling in an art piece. I also think that red and green are kind of overdone during the holidays so in keeping with the gingerbread idea, I decided to stick with that color scheme too.

Oh Tannenbaum

One of my favorite holiday traditions is the choosing of the Christmas tree! We could take the easy route and go to a lot and select a pre-cut tree but it so much more fun to traipse around acres of trees and find the “perfect” tree. Well, I think so anyway, don’t ask my husband.

Since you won’t all fit in our car to help us pick out a tree I thought I’d share this one layer card with you instead.

And the Stockings Were Hung...

Yes, one of our favorite family traditions is hanging stockings each year for Santa to fill. It makes it even more special when you create personalized stockings for each member of your family.  Today I wanted to share two different techniques for creating fun stockings for every member of your family!

A Winter Full of Imagination

The beauty of the world of imagination is that you have easy access to it whenever you desire to just go there.  No packing required, no lines to stand in and it can be whatever color you want it to be.  This card reflects that ethereal blend of colors that looks whimsical, romantic and mysterious all at the same time.  It reminds me of the cold weather that I recently escaped from, trading it for warm ocean breezes.  You can blend together your favorite Memento Luxe colors to enter your own imaginary world.

Charming Dog Tags

It’s always nice to have little gifts on hand for last minute gifts. These “charming” dog tags can be made quickly and depending on the jewelry findings you add they could be used for necklaces, earrings, charm bracelets, zipper pulls, or even key chains. By varying the stamped images and embellishments they could be for either guys or gals on your unexpected list of gifts.

Baby, It's Cold Outside!

Burrrr, who’s a better authority about the cold than polar bears?  Nobody I know!

A bright and cheery Chrismas card featuring holly images stamped with Kaleidacolor.

A Colorful Merry Christmas

Christmas is soon coming and I really like how much depth and dimension can be achieved by using the vibrant and lovely colors of Kaleidacolor inks. Perfect for Holiday season :)

Versatile & Joyful Delicata Tag

Hello Imagine Crafts friends. Tags are all the rage this time of year, so I wanted to show you how you too can make a tag with just a few supplies. Super easy to make and it will look G O R G E O U S on your gifts this year.

Or maybe you are not a tag person…turn it into an ornament instead! :)

Add Color to Creative Medium

I just love the Mother of Pearl look you achieve when using Iridescent Creative Medium, but wanting more choice of colors, I made my own.

With the wide arrange of inker colors to choose from, you can make new colors until your heart is content.

Crafty Holiday Traditions

Gini Williams Cagle shares her crafty Thanksgiving tradition to inspire your own holiday rituals.

Holiday Cookies Galore

When we were asked about holiday traditions in our family I instantly thought of cookies.  We try to bake our all of our family favorites every year but as the family grows so do the favorites as everyone chooses a different one.  Since I can't share cookies with you over the net I thought I'd do the next best thing.... share how to make holiday cookies into Faux Ceramic Glazed Ornaments instead!

Winter themed card featuing a penguin image, lots of texture elements and snowflakes.

Across the Miles

Who says you can’t add texture without the bulk. This card is jam-packed with all sorts of fun textures and dimension both real and faux to create a treat for the eyes and hands.

Mail Art! Sending All My Love

Who doesn’t love to get a piece of Mail Art by snail mail?  Not only do the postal workers have fun looking at it but you have a bona fide work of art to send to an artsy friend.  Just make sure there aren’t any bits and bobs that can become detached along the way.  What a fun way to send your love!  This envelope has faux postage but you can adapt the idea to suit your needs.

Give Thanks

We are just sailing through this month and Thanksgiving is almost here. Maybe you have friends or family that can’t be at your table this year and you want to send them a little something. This happy card is easy to make and sure to put a smile on a loved ones face.

Harvest Cornucopia Thanksgiving Card

Thanksgiving is a lovely time of year spent with family and friends but it’s also time to give thanks for the bounty of the harvest for the year. My family operates a small farm in Indiana and as farmers we like to take a moment to thank God for all that we have been able to grow and harvest during the year and pray for a favorable crop next year.  Here’s to all of the farmers that make a bountiful Thanksgiving possible…Thanks for all your hard work.

Can't Resist This Vintage Christmas

Create interesting backgrounds using resist effects with StazOn Studio Glaze. It’s quick and easy and the effect is amazing. For this Vintage Christmas card I used a blue and brown combination with white resist giving this card a lovely old world feel.

Ombre Butterfly Wash

Bringing Ombre into this century can't be any easier - simply grab your Kaleidacolor ink pads. I remember getting my very first Kaleidacolor ink pad some 15 years ago - yes you heard me that long ago - its the same one used here today and I am as much in love today as then, but realized that I don't use them often enough though. I love the rainbow colors and the possibilities these ink pads offer. Lets explore...

How Could You

When the challenge came in to use Kaleidacolor ink pads I knew straight away exactly what I wanted to create. I adore this very old technique for creating a resist background and have found that Kaleidacolor is the only ink that will do this effect any sort of justice. I hope that you enjoy it too. Thanks for visiting.

10 Minute Beauty!

Fall is in the air…finally!  Sending thank you cards this time of year requires a palette of beautiful colors and this Easy Peasy Mr. Sneezy card can be completed in just a few minutes using a Kaleidacolor ink pad.

StazOn - A Challenge to Create Patterns & Effects

I have always thought of StazOn as a stamping ink, you know for the usual on glossy things like metal, glass and plastic. I never thought that I would fall in love with this ink as a general kind of ink to do things with, let alone create beautiful effects and backgrounds. So it is only once I started exploring that I really saw the potential – and just to clarify, it can never be a great stamping ink for paper…for that there are far too many amazing inks in the Tsukineko and Imagine Crafts stable. Let’s explore how I created some gorgeous backgrounds on glossy envelopes as part of my technique portfolio…

DIY Studio Glaze Canvas Key Holder

The problem with moving to a new home, one of the problems I should say, is finding new locations to put things.  I like to know where my keys are so I don’t waste time looking for them when it is time to go and I’m already running late!  I decided this small canvas would be just the thing, not only is it pretty but so useful!   I can hang my car keys on it the minute I walk in the house.

DIY StazOn Transformation

Doing a little makeover in the family room and after losing my DVD storage, I decided to use crates.  Using StazOn inks and disposable sponge daubers gave me just the pop of color I needed with all the wood furnishings.

Textured Fall Pear Card

For a fun twist on fall I created this textured card using different glaze type mediums to create some interesting effects for my card. Come and see how you can use these transparent products to create loads of interest.

Best Wishes Striated Card

Gini Williams Cagle is here to show you this trendy striated background using All-Purpose Ink and a baby wipe.

Design Your Own Storage Container from a Recycled Box!

It is always nice to have artistic yet practical storage containers.  Think outside the box (pun intended) to make unique to you and your style, storage units.  This box was designed using stencils specifically to hold StazOn Studio Glaze bottles.

StazOn Metal FX Pumpkins

Autumn is my favorite time of year but it seems to fly by so quickly.  I am always trying to stretch the season out as long as possible and one of the ways I do so is with home decor projects.  These fun faux pumpkins look amazing with StazOn Metallic inks paired with a bit of Tuxedo Black Pico Embellisher.  The best part is they will look beautiful not only this year but for years to come!

Aged Metal Effect with Amplify!

Amplify! is such a versatile product. It is fun to heat it and watch it puff up but more importantly it can be used to give dimension and texture to whatever you're crafting. Today I want to share with you an interesting technique that can add an aged metal look to your projects by using Amplify! with stencils and inks.

Gone Dotty with Amplify!

I love playing with my Neon Amplify! The possibilities are endless and you can literally have so much dimensional fun in a variety of colors to match any project. Come and see how I create this fun effect using a rainbow of colors.

Upcycled Autumn Wall Hanging

I love to upcycle items that may have outlived their usefulness in their original form into pieces of art. I thought this old rusty muffin tin would be a perfect candidate.

Fall Tissue Box

Fall is my favorite time of the year and I love making home decor items to display around the house. It seems like I have tissues in every room for the little noses that come to visit Nana. Though manufacturers are making the tissue boxes prettier these days, they still need my artistic touch.

Autumn Mixed Media Pocket Letter

Pocket Letters are a fun new way to send greetings to friends wide and far.  Baseball card album sleeves filled with art one one side and goodies on the other.  With Autumn here, it's the perfect time to create a mixed media Pocket Letter for your friends.

DIY Stamped Retro 50's Apron

I knew I wanted to make an apron the minute I received these fun retro kitchen stamps…stamping on fabric? Yes you can, with the help of Memento Luxe Ink Pads and Fabrico Markers it’s a snap. I was able to stamp, highlight and even dye the ruffled trim with ease. You can stamp and sew an apron from scratch as I have done or simply purchase a pre-sewn, plain apron to embellish.

Paris

As fall begins and In the dead of winter my thoughts often drift to spring time. What better place to be in the spring than Paris? For this card I used the new StazOn Studio Glaze product to mimic the beautiful sky colors seen only in the city of light.

Steampunk Mermaid Celebration

Celebrate that special someone’s birthday with this fun clear aquatic birthday card using StazOn Opaque Inks and these fun under the sea stamps!

Frosted Altered Art Bottle

I love the look of frosted glass and that look is easy to obtain with StazOn Opaque Inks!

Picture Day - A Mixed Media Self-Portrait

This is a fun project to do with an old photo of yourself, your kids or friends.  The only old photo I had in my stash is one taken of me several years ago when I was still working in sales.  It is a black and white photo which is great since color can be added to the picture. The idea behind a self portrait like this is to make the background and the body look like things that you like to do or dresses you'd like to wear but never would.  You can be as "girly" as you like in a piece like this.  It is, after all, just for fun and is designed to stretch your imagination!

Diva Journal!

Is there a fabulous lady in your life who qualifies as a Diva?  I have one in mind for this gift journal as her long-awaited graduation gift is a trip to Paris where I’m sure she’ll be writing notes, saving ephemera and doing a little sketching in famous museums.  If you have an artistic Diva in your circle of friends this is a one of a kind handmade gift she can treasure.

Time - Get Moving!

When we were asked to create a project with movement I knew immediately what I wanted to do…a telescoping card! This project incorporates so many things I love…metallics in the form of Metallic Creative Medium, Steampunk designs, rubber stamping and sheets of mica – Mother Natures own form of glitter. Let’s get “moving” and make this telescoping card come to life.

Upcycled Owl

A green DIY project, perfect for the whole family!

Promote Peace, Love and Understanding

It is wonderful to imagine Peace, Love and Understanding all around the world every day, isn't it? What better week than this one to create a card with a theme like that (September 21st was the International Day of Peace). The image on my card is one of a lady who should be in the no judgement zone since she has her own style and is proud of it! May we all promote peace, love and understanding every day so we can have these beneficial feelings at least in our small part of the world.

Love in Any Language

When asked to do a project for Peace, Love and Understanding, I immediately grabbed for this oh so cute stamp and die set. In the background you will find "I Love You" in French and Braille, stamped with an ink pad so close to Kraft, you can barely tell its there. The adorable sign language embellishment really finishes this card.

Peace on Earth

These days, the refugees are the main theme in Europe. Thousands of people from outside Europe are leaving their homes and houses in their homelands because they’re living under suppression, in a war zone or were hagridden by others. They risks their and their family’s lives for reaching Europe, hoping to find a place where they could live in peace. For International Day of Peace, I wanted to create something airy, with a positive mood subtending this sad situation. There is confusion but also hope everywhere.

Wonderful Things

International Day of Peace is a time to celebrate our global unity and the wonderful things that bring us together! This colorful sentiment is great for anyone who is far away but near in your heart.

Beside You Amplify! Rainbow

When my kids were little, one of our favorite things to do was to gaze up at the sky and look for shapes in the clouds.  Of course after rain storms we were looking for rainbows.  This card combines both of those things with a little help from Radiant Neon Amplify!  It really makes the clouds look like fluffy cotton candy!

Amplify! Your Mixed Media Results

When creating a mixed-media project it is fun and interesting to have lots of texture.  This panel can be used as a piece of home decor or you can make a card using the technique, whatever direction your muse leads you in.

Amplify Bee Mine!

VersaColor Background Paper

Create your very own Autumn inspired card background, with this simple and stunning technique.

Tool Time - 3 Times the Charm

Some of the most useful tools in my stash is my is my set of Palette knives. Yes I know a weird choice for some, but not to me. Today I am going to show you how to use your Palette Knives in some new and different ways making a card. I hope you feel inspired to look at your tools in a different way from now on.

Must Have My Creative Medium!

We all have art supplies that we feel we cannot create without.  For most artists that list changes from time to time depending on the new releases that just keep getting better and better.  A product at the top of my list right now is Iridescent Creative Medium paste.  Here is one of a series of panels created using that product.

My Favorite - Memento!

When asked to create a project using my favorite IMAGINE Crafts/Tsukineko product I instantly knew I wanted to make something using Memento Dye Ink family.  It’s so versatile and I can use it for my favorite coloring technique – Watercolor!  The colors stay true and are so easy to blend, they are my go to when I want to make a beautiful watercolor card.

Classy Halloween Art Journal Page

Dabbling in my art journal again but this time with a simple and elegant not-so-Halloweeny page. We are not big into Halloween here but since I had this cute little spider (not that they are ever cute) I thought I would play around with a classy scary page.

End of Summer Surprise

For those of us in the U.S. the Labor Day weekend is a marker as the end of summer.  Most people do not have to work the following Monday so it is a time when barbeques and pool parties abound!  While we might be sad to see summer fading away there is the excitement of kids going back to school or just the change in the seasons.  If you are fortunate enough to be invited to a party of some sort you'll probably want to bring a small hostess gift.  This little bag fits the bill!  You can tuck small gifts inside like candles, candy, or how about some unique hot sauces to go with that steak?  The real kicker is that you can make it in a matter of minutes.

Seashells by the Seashore

They say take time to smell the roses but I think it’s just as important to take time to collect seashells by the seashore…

Be Brave Iridescent Sentiment

Enjoy this vibrant iridescent sentiment - sure to brighten any cloudy day!

Hello Friend - Blue Rose Inchies

Sometimes you just want to let your friend how much they mean to you.  Making them a special card will do just that…with a bit of sparkle, some shine and shimmer your love will shine…one inch at a time!

Hard Work = Great Achievements

“No great achievement is accomplished without a bit of hard work.” So true so true and Labor Day is the perfect day to kick back and acknowledge those achievements! Each and every person has a job of some sort…be it a factory job, an office worker, a Stay-At-Home Mom, a job in the military, fire or police departments, farmers, service, repair, and more! Everyone has a job they preform, we salute you! Thanks for your hard work.

Stay brave. Stay strong.

It is a good time in history to be a woman. As a wise woman once said: “You are braver than you believe, stronger than you seem, smarter than you think and loved more than you know.” There are opportunities daily to show our support to other women who may be fighting battles that we are completely unaware of. Why not give that support with a card?

Homegrown Beauty

My niece is a real girly girl – but with such a strong personality! I used these recent photos of her to create a beautiful girly layout using strong colors and elements to depict her ‘girl power’ – reminding her that she is capable of anything and everything, but most of all – a homegrown natural beauty. I used StazOn Studio Glaze to create the beautiful dress up doll for this layout.

The Power of Woman

This is my Woman’s Equality Day project with a little wink. It shows the original 1971 Resolution Text in the background (thank you Wikipedia). Ladies, everyone of us has got the power to make the world a little bit better day by day. We delite ourself and others with our handmade gifts, cards and decorations. So let’s craft :)

#GirlPower

I love this sentiment paired with boot steps and a doily stencil. Tough and soft at the same time. Who in your life could use a card like this? Your mom, sister, friend, coworker? I will be sending this one to a friend that just got a promotion at work…she will love it!

Girl Power!

Here’s a salute to all the women I know…and that goes for you! We don’t take credit for all the super things we do on a day to day basis…from stay-at-home mom’s taking care of homes, their family and all the extra errands that randomly pop up. To the working women who answer to many bosses and wears numerous hats. To the farm or ranch woman that rises before her husband to make sure he has what he needs to start the day. We are the people who keep it together, are a source of inspiration and touch so many peoples lives in little ways we may never know. Give yourself a pat on the back and let’s flex our muscles and show off our Girl Power!

Picture This

Fun embossing, cute washi tape and for those in my generation, a super fun Viewmaster!

Canisters With A French Flair

I found this nifty pair of canisters at a flea market recently and I thought it would be fun to kick it up a notch and give them a little French flair.

You Make Life Sweet

This card is dedicated to the one of the greats. Julia Child brought the pleasure of French cuisine to American kitchens at a time when marshmellow flush was considered a delicacy. So here's to you Julia, Happy Birthday!

DIY Place Mats

In this project I show you how easy it is to create an individual place mat. I love the results with Memento Luxe Ink Pads and Fabrico Marker. Stamping and drawing on fabric is just a little bit different to stamping on cardstock. Here's a few tips I've learned from my own experience are: Don’t stamp with too much pressure and let the stamp stay longer on the surface so the color can sink into the fabric fibers. Happy Stamping!

Bon Appetit

I was looking for a fun gift to give my Mom for her newly renovated kitchen and when I saw this little French Bulldog bank I knew I’d found what I was looking for. Covered in quotes from the Queen of French cuisine – Julia Child! He's a perfect little watch dog over her sleek new cooking space.

Magnetic Shopping List

Cathy Andronicou shows you how to make this must-have DIY shopping list. A perfect housewarming gift or to keep on your own refrigerator.

Amplify! Mono-Printed Dimension Tag

Monoprinting makes a lot of fun and offers a wide variety of options to create several layers on a project. Experimenting with this technique using only my craft mat, I found out that Radiant Neon Amplify! is the perfect color to add new dimension and feel to the surface.

Birthday Wishes

I love creating colorful cards and the same goes if it's masculine. I get inspired by colors and this fun Kaleidacolor (Blue Breeze) was the starting point of my card.

Summer Party Style

This is a fun and easy project that brightens up any entertaining space!

Sweet Swirls

I have discovered you can watercolor with almost any medium. Today I am using irRESISTible Pico’s. This is such a fun image to color and with the Pico’s, you can give the gumballs a little something extra.

Mix & Match Letter Action Card

This card works like a sudoku puzzle. It comes along with several letters and embellishment. Because of using Tack’n’Peel, everything adheres non-permanent on the surface, so you can spend a lot of funny time combining it and trying to find out how many words, phrases and designs are possible to create. Hubby had a lot of fun with the possibilities.

Dazzle with Brilliance

I like the colors of Spring! The Brilliance Pearlescent inks are just perfect for the subtle shine and lightness for this time of the year!

Friendship

Friendship is a precious gift. I’ve got a couple of really good friends and am very thankful for finding them. Therefore it was on my heard to make a friendship celebrating project. The picture shows me with some of my girls from our private weekly MoMa-Crafting-Club.

Always In Motion

We all seem to have that one particular friend or relative who seems to be in perpetual motion every waking moment of the day.  Here is a gift tag that reflects their personality.  Not only are the doll eyes moving but the gears on the tag make us feel like there is movement too.  Fun to make and even more fun to give away, it can double as a bookmark.

Get Moving - A Card In A Box!

Sometimes creating a flat card is just not good enough, sometimes something different is refreshing. For today I created an accordion fold card inside a little box. Not only can it be used for the card, you can add a small gift inside for the recipient too.

Creative Blocks

My decorating style includes using fun vintage children’s blocks to spell out various words that might celebrate a holiday or add whimsy to a shelf.  Words like ArT or CReaTiVe are even more interesting when you mix the sizes and colors. My 2015 blocks combine old paper and gold tones to create a vintage look.

Mini (Match)Books

I’m a librarian and love books in every form. These ones are made from matchboxes. Once started I wasn’t able to stop making them. They are perfect to give notes, coins, vouchers or any other little somethings and can be adapted to many occasions.

Sand Between Your Toes

The lazy days of summer are just about over, so I thought a shaker card with real sand from Clearwater Beach, Florida might be a fun card to send someone in the north, to remind them of their vacation memories. I really love how the frame turned out with the shimmer and texture....will be making a picture frame with this technique.

A Simple Folded Keepsake

We all love traveling, and I for one would never be home if traveling was free - as the saying goes! But for now I am concentrating on traveling locally and with all the ticket stubs and travel related documents that we collect I created this quick and easy folded travel journal. I think it will become better with age - when it is worn and weathered and not so perfect.

Distressed Travel Journal

Journaling is definitely trending at the moment and there are no right and wrong way to do it - it is a very personal thing. I needed something to keep my travel memories in and found this fabulous journal on sale because the front cover was damaged - not a problem for me - as you can see by my Tutorial.

Suede Travel Journal

Enjoy the journey as much as the destination and record every memory made along the way in this fun, easy collage style travel journal. The finished size of this travel journal is: inside - 4" x 6" pages with an extra 1/2" for the binding; outside: approximately 6" x 6.5" and has two inside flaps to protect the pages and extra ephemera tucked inside as well as the front and back cover and a wrap-around strap closure. A pocket was sewn into the back of the cover to slip in the bound journal pages.

Postcards from the Road

Remember the days when we drove around with Thomas Guides in our cars? Big books of maps that not only helped you navigate the area but you had to learn how to navigate the book! Today the maps are likely outdated but quite useful for all sorts of projects.

Create Your Own Summer Travel Journal

Summer usually signals a break in our normal routines, be it a long vacation stay or perhaps just a few interesting day trips here and there.  Either way it is an opportunity for us to make some memories and preserve them in a handmade travel journal.  This simple, folded journal is crafted from a single large sheet of watercolor paper and colorfully decorated.  It contains pockets to hold ticket stubs and other pieces of ephemera.  The sturdy paper allows the traveler to paint, sketch and write about the journey along the way.

Parisian Key Fob

Cathy Andronicou shows you how to keep your travel memories on you at all times with this Parisian Key Fob.

Tacky Tourist Signage

We don’t have a name for “Tacky Tourists” in Germany. But it’s a really good and funny description for these kind of travelers and I think, we should have a German word for them. For this card I created a new road sign. A couple of years ago, my BFF Dagmar and I visited the Gizeh Pyramides at Kairo, Agypt. That could be the right place to implement such a sign, because everyone takes a photo and they’re often very funny/silly…

Travel Treasure Shadow Box

Isn't it funny all of the little bits and pieces you collect on a road trip...everything from bottle caps, sea shells collected on the beach, sand saved in tiny bottles to the tacky tourist offerings like plastic hula dolls, pink rubber flamingos and the ever popular key chains.  Well this kitschy shadow box is just the ticket to save all those funky bits in one place.

50 States on Canvas

When we were asked to do a project themed “50 States”, I wanted to show all them in a different way. The big canvas has room for every single State, but doesn’t presents them in a usual map view. The states are listened in alphabetical order. The biggest challenge was not to get deranged with over 400 die cut characters.

Creative Medium Stars & Stripes

Show your thanks with this shimmering bold sentiment from Artist in Residence Carisa Zglobicki.

Show Your Spirit

Flag Day is huge in my household. Besides getting old Betsy up on the flag pole, it is my Mom & Dad’s anniversary, my sons birthday, and on my Daughter in Love’s side, it is her mom & dad’s anniversary and her brothers birthday. (Do you have a special date in your family where everything just seems to happen?) Show your patriotism this Flag Day by dressing up a pair of jeans or capris with a stencil and a little ink. As a bonus, you are all set for the 4th of July also! :)

Radiant Stars and Stripes

Combining Stars and Stripes is always fun. I haven'tt used my awesome Radiant Neon inks for a little while now, so that inspired me to create a rainbow of stars:)

Super Duper Stars 'n' Stripes

I really adore how this card came out, especially when I took it outside to photograph, the 3D elements cast wonderful shadows over the front of the stark white card stock giving it a completely different look to what I had imagined when I first thought of what to create. I hope you enjoy my shaker card creation and share with me what you create.

Shimmering Stars & Stripes

I love red and blue, I love America - so when I have the chance to create something that is so close to my heart I really am in crafting heaven. This card celebrates my love for this amazing country and some real crafting goodness all thrown into one gorgeous themed card.

Summer Lilies T-Shirt

Cathy Androinicou is here to show you how easy it is to make your very own summer lilies shirt using our All-Purpose Ink & other Imagine Crafts products. This can be a perfect new addition to your summer wardrobe or gift.

No Fuss DIY T-Shirt

Do you have some old T-Shirts in the closet that you never wear because they are just too plain? Dress them up with a stencil and an ink pad. The first swipe of ink always make me nervous (it is a $3 t-shirt after all), but then we you see your shirt coming to life, it is super fun!

Floral Summer Tank

My summer wardrobe is full of boring plain shirts, how about yours? This year I was so happy to receive some of the gorgeous Memento Luxe inks and have quite literally gone to town jazzing up my clothes with my favorite images. I love the idea that no one will ever have the same top on as me. What is even better, I love to cosplay and dress up. We make many of our own costumes, the possibilities of fabric designs has now been blown wide open with this fabulous ink!

Summertime Men's Shirt

Is your husband or son still thinking your hobby is just for women? I've made a men’s shirt, perfect  for summer time, that will convince them otherwise! Since Martin (my husband) has seen it he’s attended to my colors, stamps and stencils in a whole new way. This shirt is a great way to involve everyone in your crafting endevours.

Juicy Watermelon Tank Top

A delicious DIY tank, just in time for summer!

BBQ Settings

This is a fun project for the family to join in and help create. The labels have a purpose holding onto the flatware wrapped in napkins but also add to the party decor too.

BBQ Banner Fit for A King

It is that time of year when casual gatherings in the backyard are the rule!  Don't know what to bring as a host/hostess gift?  This is a quick gift that shows your opinion and appreciation of the Master Griller.  It is a burlap banner that can be attached easily to a chair.  They are so easy to make you could actually make one to serve as a seat assignment for each guest.

Bold Colors, Bold World

Carisa Zglobicki takes over your screen with this empowering sentiment featuring bold vibrant colors from our irRESISTible Neon texture sprays in a Jackson Pollock style canvas.

Nautical Father's Day

Father's Day is celebrated around the world -not always at the same time, here in the Southern hemisphere we celebrate in September. I never miss an opportunity to create a card celebrating the dads. I always love texture on a masculine card and it is so easy to add as you will see from my tutorial.

A Father's Love

There are so many occasions to make and give masculine cards. A friend of ours recently had a baby and the new Dad would certainly enjoy knowing he was not forgotten in all of the excitement! You don't have to look far for a reason to use some wonderful masculine colors in card making.

A Card for Him

It seems as though most of us struggle with "manly" cards, but this is so simple to do, you can whip out several in no time. Choose blues, browns or greens and it is sure to be appreciated by the men in your life. Nothing screams manly like Nautical and Woodgrain themes. This layout really makes use of your small designer paper scraps too.

You're Aces!

Do you have a poker face? Surprise your loved one with this fun masculine aces book. Works great for birthday's or Father's Day!

Cool Daddy-O

A little iron, a little leather and one cool dude...a perfect start for any guy in your life.

A Day to Remember

There is something undeniably beautiful about a wedding - friends and family come together to support and celebrate those exchanging vows and becoming one.  Gifts are carefully selected and cards chosen to express love and support -  to keep - as a treasure - a keepsake.

Mixed Media Bridal Card

Love is definitely in the air this time of the year!  Here is a special Bridal Shower card for that bride that likes to mix it up a bit.  This not your traditional card but a tiny mixed media piece of art.  You can have fun using the Bride's colors and flowers, whatever you like to personalize it.

Glitzy Wedding Favors

Can you picture one of these favors topping a place setting or perhaps lined up together on a tray next to the door so your wedding guests will see them as they leave? Favors are one of those things that are made even more exciting by the wrapping! I love creating fun packaging for gifts and cards. This idea is designed for wedding favors but can be easily altered to use for other occasions.

Vintage Bridal Hair Clip

I can’t sew but that doesn’t matter, there are tons of possibilities to create individual fabric projects without using a sewing machine. Go along with me and let’s discover them. More and more couples decides to celebrate a vintage themed wedding. Vintage weddings are kind of romantic and elegant with a touch of past times. It can be defined very individually but the romantic touch is always presented. This really romantic sparkling flower clip can be used in several ways: the bride’s hair, the groom’s buttonhole or, in a bigger dimension, as wedding bouquet, or for any decoration.

Two Become One - Puzzle Wedding Invitation

My sweetheart and I were married way back in 1986, right out of high school. At that time I knew nothing of the fun stuff the paper arts world had in store for me. Our invitations were store bought and like so many others of the time period our colors were Mauve and Grey/Silver. At the time it was very trendy but not really me. I decided it would be fun to re-visit my wedding (as we will be married for 30 years next year) and give it all a make-over.

Two Become One - Place Cards

StazOn Studio Glaze is a perfect way to add bright vibrant colors when spread on your project but it can also provide amazing depth and texture which is why I used it both ways on my wedding make-over place cards. Since my colors are blue and gold I decided to use blue for our female guests and gold for the male guests.

Two Become One - Save the Date Magnet

When my husband and I originally got married they didn't even have "Save the Date" announcements so I thought it would be fun to create one. I wanted to include the puzzle theme - "two become one" as well as the polka dots and this is what I came up with.

Two Become One - Favor Box

It's always fun to gift a little surprise to each of your guests at your weding...these little favor boxes are a beautiful addition to present them in.

Two Become One - Candle Sticks

These candle sticks are a great way to carry your theme and colors into your reception. Decorate a set for each table and give them away as gifts to your guests.

Gift Card Organizer

Graduations are just around the corner and these young people are going to be getting a lot of gift cards. Now they need a place to keep them organized. Aren't you glad you stopped by today so I can help solve that problem with this one of a kind Gift Card Organizer?!?

Pomp & Circumstance

Graduation is such a special day as they walk across the stage to receive their diplomas. It is the end of childhood and a beginning into adulthood. Commemorate your graduate with a specially made card to recognize their achievement. Simple to make, just change the colors to coincide with your school theme.

Pocket Full of Posies...And Money!

This little flower pot holds more than posies...pull up on the flowers and you've got a nifty little hiding spot for a gift card. I've included the template for the flower pot in the tutorial for easy assemblages. Happy crafting!

Pocket It

As soon as I heard the theme for this project was gift card holders, I immediately thought of a pocket card. Of course with my own little twist. It is the perfect way to be a little bit 'sneaky' with an unexpected gift...as you will see from my tutorial. Enjoy!

Ribbon Gift Envelope

Gift cards, money or homemade coupons, this is a great way to give them to your special person. It also doubles as a cute storage envelope for all of their monetary gifts. This is fun to make and easy to change the gift theme.

Simply Scrumptious Gift Card Holder

Some times it is just so much simpler to give that picky Teenager a gift card than buy a gift. I never know what to buy my nieces mainly because they have everything twice over already! I decided to create a slider card and figured that I could hide a gift card within the mechanism. Simple and pretty, they key part being the simple for me!

Stars and Stripes

Ready for summer? Memorial Day kicks off summer in the US and this card is great for sending greetings or using as an invitation to a July 4th BBQ.

Create Your Own Butterfly Pillow Cover

I like this time of the year for it's flowers, butterflies and freshness. So let's use our liking and bring it inside our home :)

Stamped Serviettes

White is such an amazing blank canvas - from cardstock to canvas to fabric. White enables you to create and alter whatever you can dream up. For those special afternoon tea time treats on the patio I altered some white linen serviettes to make them a bit more special.

Faux Cross Stitch with Fabrico Markers

Baerbel Born uses Fabrico Markers on fabric to create fun cross stitch patterns and designs without sewing – fun project for the entire family!

Chalkboard Picture Frame

Cathy Andronicou shows how to create this fabulous photo frame that's accented with IMAGINE Crafts' Iridescent Creative Medium. Because the frame has a base coat of chalkboard paint, the sentiment can be changed when you switch out the photo – genius!

Sweet Mum

My mom loves birds and so for this Mother's day I wanted to make a card that incorporates a little birdie. Thankfully I have some really cute stamps and with the help of the amazing StazOn Studio Glaze I could add some really amazing color to my image. For my sentiment I used two stamps and stamped them in different colors for a fun look.

Handmade thank you card featuring a bokeh effect made with inks in yellows, oranges and coral colors.

Fireworks! Bokeh Thank You

Have you been inspired by the Bokeh style backgrounds found on Pinterest? Carisa Zglobicki shows you how easy it is to create this style of background using IMAGINE Crafts' Fireworks craft sprays and Memento Luxe ink.

For You Mum

Mother's Day is one day of the year that is common to us all, we all have or have had a Mother, what better way to say 'I love you' than with flowers! The beautiful flowers featured on this card will not wilt or fade. It's truely a gift that keeps on giving. You will love the new product that is used, check it out below!

3 Tools, 3 Ways

When I needed to make a birthday card for my daughter this cute image was a great starting point for inspiration. I really enjoyed the various ways to add depth, dimension and texture to my projects. Of course tools like the Imagine Crafts Palette Knives, Sponge Dauber and Doodlestix made it much easier for me! 😄

Faux Gelli Plate Print Gift Bags and Cards

Faux Gelli Plate Prints are a great way to create unique and fun cards and gift bags to have on hand for any occasion. The Craft Mat and Memento Luxe inkers make creating faux Gelli prints so quick and easy you'll have a stack of beautiful prints in no time at all.

Create Your Own Sunshine

Some days you just have to create your own sunshine. This sentiment is true not only for the turbulent weather of Spring time but also in creating art. One of the ways I like to create my own artsy sunshine is monoprinting. A fun and easy technique that yields a sky full of sunshine every time.

Retro Picture Frame

A few days after we were asked to do an upcycling project I got hold of an old and ugly plastic picture frame. There were two choices: chuck it away or pimp it up. Of course I did the last one, and now it is the perfect frame to present a photo showing my beloved Dad in the 1960s. This technique using Creative Medium and Embossing Powder is very easy to do and gives a true metallic retro effect.

Bringing New Life To Old Keepsakes

I have never painted and stenciled furniture before. With that said, this project was so easy, I can't wait to find something else to tackle. This little table was my mothers, so of course it means the world to me. However, it was beyond ugly (sorry mom). It needed a little something, something. I am beyond thrilled with how it turned out using a few inks, stencil and a Sponge Dauber.

Earth Day Treasure Box

It is never to early to start training children to respect our home, Mother Earth, by recycling whenever we can.  What might seem to be trash, like this old shoebox, can be turned into a lovely treasure box easily using scraps from other projects.

OH HAPPY DAY Monoprinted Card

New trends in papercrafting and mixed media are using a Gelli Plate. I have found that the Craft Mat by Imagine Crafts works like a charm without the added expense. Let me show you how easy it is to incorporate this technique into your next card project.

HELLO to Monoprinting

Working with the Gelli Plate is one of the hottest trends right now, and I have to admit that I don't own one. I've really wanted to experiment with the monoprinting technique, and I soon discovered the the IMAGINE Crafts Craft Mat is perfect for achieving the same results!

Monoprinted Watercolor Backgrounds

This is fun way to take your favorite colors and create your own watercolor backgrounds using the IMAGINE Crafts Craft Mat as your working surface. Here are a couple of versions using similar color combinations.

Monoprint Crackle Card

I love creating backgrounds for my cards and scrapbook layouts. Gelli Printing is a firm favorite of mine because it offers the ability to just play and experiment - and with the wonderful inks and mediums available it is such a joy creating textures. A great alternative to the Gelli Plate is to use the awesome Craft Mat from IMAGINE Crafts to create some faux Gelli prints for some quick cards using All Purpose ink combined with acrylic paint.

Make A Splash

"April Showers" in the Southern Hemisphere are slightly different than those in the Northern hemisphere - we are heading from summer to Autumn/Fall and April Showers are more than welcome but bring with them a reminder that we are heading to cooler tempertures and...rain!   This is my inspiration for this card.

Baby Showers

I was asked to make an April Showers card, but misread the April part of the email so I decided that It would be an April BABY Shower card! I mean really...how adorable are those baby animals with their Pico embellished umbrellas?!? I just don't know what I did before the Pico was invented. Now I use it on almost every card.

Sending You Sunshine

After a long, cold winter here in New England the thought of Spring flowers is a little ray of hope and sunshine in all of our lives!  This card shows how brilliant yet simple a Spring card can be created using a stencil and Creative Medium Metallics.

Showers In The Garden

In Germany we say "April, April, der macht was er will“ which means the weather in April is capricious. It could be rainy or sunny- almost like summer time here. “April showers bring May flowers” is the American adage. And this card suits to both countries! This card is very simple to make and has a surprising illusion effect.

April Showers Bring...

... May flowers. That is, unless you live in Seattle where it tends to bring umbrellas more often than flowers! Learn how to make this mixed media card that adds texture with Creative Medium.

Stylish Egg Hunt

Baerbel Born has another amazing project to share with you today, this time creating these elegant textured Easter Eggs using StazOn Studio Glaze. Easy enough to make with the entire family!

irRESISTible Easter Bunny

With Easter around the corner I was inspired to dig out some of my favorite themed stamps to play with and make a quick card, and this bunny is one of my all time favorite images. It's playful and funky at the same time. I teamed the bunny with this cute little jellybean stamp transformed by Memento inks and irRESISTible medium in Dandelion - perfect for a bright and fun celebration.

Easter Egg Hunt

It's that time of the year where the kids get to find all of those eggs hidden in the yard. What a perfect idea for creating a fun card - an Easter basket filled with brightly decorated eggs!

Easter Bunny

Studio Glaze is a real member of the StazOn product family. It works on nearly every surface. This was a boring, plain white glossy porcelain bunny before I doodled it colorful with the Glaze.

Happy Easter Shaker Card

Since Easter is fast approaching, I got inspired by the colored eggs I plan to decorate with my daughter. And this time of the year I really enjoy watching the eggs hatching and then small chicks coming out of them. Usually we can see these in the kids kindergarten! The new Studio Glaze are perfect for coloring too and I love the texture made by the new Amplifier!

I love playing with Pico's and with Spring just around the corner, this is a fun embossing folder to play with. I've kept it fairly simply, but I can envision a really colorful zentangle with all the Pico colors.

Springtime with StazOn Studio Glaze

My favorite season of the year is Spring, watching the world come alive. I wanted to create a freehand card that is simple to replicate that didn't involve any stamping  or stencils, just my interpretation of the trees and flowers around me.

Spring Poppies Canvas

There is a wide range of symbolism associated with poppies...everything from loyalty, beauty, magic, consolation, fertility and even eternal life. They are in my opinion one of spring's most beautiful flowers with their ruffled, delicate petals and striking colors.  While they are only around for a short period of time you can capture their beauty in this easy to paint canvas to enjoy all year long.

Lollipop Flowers

Get creative with Amplify! with this fun project creating a boquet of Spring blooms. When heated on waxed paper, Amplify has the look and feel of suede!

Spring Has Sprung

Inspired by the beautiful colors of Spring when everything is fresh and in full bloom, so I created this quick card. For my focal point elements I chose this gorgeous soft linen flower in cream and then added color to it using the Radiant Neon ink pads. To pull the look together I repeated the same ink color in different ways. Come explore this versatile ink with me.

Make A Wish

I love dandelion's and cant wait for them all to start springing up so I can pick them and make a wish on the fluff! When I saw the fabulous Clearly Besotted stamp set  Dandelion Dreams a plan quickly formed in my noggin. The set just had to be shown with fluff blowing away, traditionally it should be white but hey, artistic license and my favourite Memento Luxe pad Rose Bud was calling my name.

Thinking of You

I love having cards in my stash that work for both guys and gals that I can use at a moments notice. This card fits the bill perfectly, it's fun, thoughtful and has just enough shimmer to be elegant without being too girly. The reason for that is that it's made using Iridescent Creative Medium -- creamy paste that pairs perfectly with stencils and looks great on light and dark backgrounds.  The toughest part of making this card is deciding which colors to use!

A Masculine SMILE

What happens after sponging with Memento inks and adding some iridescent Creative Medium? A striking gradation effect which can be used for cards, mixed media projects and many more! With this choice of colors, this is the perfect masculine themed card.

10 Ways to Use Delicata

Who knew that the Delicata 4 inkpad was so versatile? Heike shows 10 different ways to use the four metallic colors found in this inkpad: Golden Glitz, Silvery Shimmer, Bronze Burst and Celestial Copper.

Use Creative Medium with three different application techniques to create your own stunning gift box.

What's the Scoop?

Winter is still in the air but thoughts of a creamy double scoop of chocolate chip and sherbet ice cream sounds so good. Using Amplify! adds depth and brings the ice cream to life. Almost good enough to eat!

Flower Power with Amplify!

I am excited to discover so many ways to use the new Amplify! I am always looking for new ways to add dimension to projects - you see see how this amazing product has totally brought these flat flowers to life - so simple but so effective.

Get Carried Away with Amplify!

Do balloons have a texture in real life? Of course they don't, but you are about to witness Creativity 101. Three techniques for you to try using the new Amplify! Pure puffiness in a bottle.

Amplify Flowers Tutorial

Today I want to share my "flower recipes" I made while I was experimenting with Amplify! Each flower recipe card shows the individual steps to create that particular flower and a finished example. By using different colors of the Amplify! you will be able to create a garden full of flowers. Most are self explanatory and easy to follow.

You Are My Sunshine

I adore the new Imagine Crafts Creative Medium!  It is so easy to use and clean up, you will find it hard to go wrong. It dries relatively quickly and does not have an offensive smell, two things that are very important to me in a product. When I created my tester pieces I fell instantly in love with the Blue so had to use it on a proper project first, what better than a background for a spring inspired card.

Texture with Amplify

The texture from the new Amplify is so fluffy! It reminds me of a sheep's wool, so here's a fun and card that I created in celebration of Chinese New Year, the Year of the Sheep.

Art Journaling Pages with StazOn Studio Glaze

I'm always looking for new ways to add color to my Art Journal pages and StazOn Studio Glaze blends to give amazing variation in colors.  This two page spread is called "She Pauses".

Photo Transfers with Creative Medium Metallic

Camouflage Tiles

Celebrate Life Everyday

Artist In Residence Tina McDonald uses StazOn Studio Glaze as a background with Memento Luxe and irRESISTible Texture Sprays to create this easy to create scrapbooking layout.

LOVE

With the Ombre trend still very much alive and well, I was inspired to create a little Ombre magic on this Love themed card using my Radiant Neon Electric ink pad. I used the same ink color on different mediums and loved to see how they turned out - each medium giving a different result and a different color effect. Truly a versatile and stunning ink to work with, offering so many possibilities.

Steamy Valentine

Valentine's Day is right around the corner and I thought it would be fun to make a Steampunk card for my sweetie this year.  The new Celestial Copper and Bronze Burst Delicata inks are perfect for making the gears stand out and shine on this card, the perfect addition to adding a bit of a masculine touch to a Valentine's greeting.

Fireworks! and Hearts

So many reds, so little time! The Memento color line features inkpads with complimentary Fireworks craft sprays that are fun to combine because they blend so wonderfully. Valentine themed cards are the perfect way to try them all out!

A Card for an Artist Friend

When creating cards that I'm sending to friends, I tend to create with the recipient in mind. Since this card was being sent to one of my fun and crazy artists friends, I decided to create something a little more on the edgier sides of things because I knew that she would appreciate it.

Bedtime Prayer

It was time to reorganize my craft room. But that didn’t last long because an old stamp with a prayer crossed my way. For a few weeks now I’ve had fun playing with Walnut Inks. The idea of combining the stamp and the Walnut Ink was born and had to be realized immediately. Why clean and organize when you can create?

Mixing It Up

Dragonflies have the most beautiful wings - I love the metallic shimmer when the sunlight touches them...the beauty of nature is incredible and just captured my imagination - as you will see with this tutorial.

Honeymoon Sunset

I couldn’t believe what I saw when I first played with the new Radiant Neon Amplify! While heating, the color puffs up and shows a great dimension. What a fun! Since Valentine's Day is approaching, I began thinking of moments in love and pictures of my honeymoon came to mind. Pictures of hubby and me walking on the beach, watching the sun going down …

Be Mine

I love the look of white space on a card. I thought about the simple elegance of it and wanted to combine that with St Valentines Day for a card for my other half. But you cant have a card without a little bling and being a card for a man it must be a very little bling! That is where the fabulous GooseBumps came straight into my mind. I hope you enjoy my quick Valentine's project today.

Acetate Valentines Card

Love the new products Imagine Crafts came out with for 2015. I felt like a child when I got my hands on them! The new Amplify, StazOn Studio Glaze and oh so super cool new Creative mediums. Today I am sharing a simple and easy card using the StazOn Studio Glaze, which just gives a perfect WOW to an Acetate card, especially when light passes through it.

Dancing in the Rain Clock

For a long time I was concentrated on card making. Then I was challenged by my art friends to make a mixed media project and I have to admit, it was pure fun! Since then my mind also forms concepts of non-card projects all day and night. This project is based on transforming a simple, basic wall clock into a mini work of art.

Friendship Card

I am really loving the Bokeh effect trend that is appearing all around the web lately, I worked out with a few test pieces that you could re-create it relatively easily with the amazing Memento Luxe in Wedding Dress and a piece of cardstock with varying sized circles cut into it.

Always and Forever

Valentine's Day always makes me think of red and pink – and those are the colors I chose to create this Clean and Simple greeting card, accented with a little bling heart in the bottom corner to carry the heart theme throughout this card.

Golden Hearts

I love the rustic look achieved roughly smoothing out the metallic creative medium! Once dry you find some jagged edges and variations in color that add interest to the card.

Neon Hearts

The Radiant Neon inks make me happy... I adore the pop of color they give, especially against a black background! When I sat down to make this card, my goal was to make something lovey-dovey but still have it usable for a guy or a girl, and for any occasion that a 'hello' was needed. You never know when you'll need to grab a virtual hug from your stash to send out!

Divine Delicata

It is always exciting to play with new product – even more so when it is a new Delicata ink – I love the shimmer of these – the richness of Celestial Copper is divine – a picture speaks a thousand words – so I will let the tutorial speak for itself.

It's The Moments Together...

Last year I made a card I really loved for my husband, and I thought since Valentine’s Day was fast approaching I’d re-create it this year! I used a gray and yellow color scheme for the original version as it wasn’t an actual valentine.

Sweet Valentine

Valentines Day - the day for Lovers all over the world.  What better way to express the 'matters of the heart' than a handmade card using the most divine ink Delicata Bronze Burst - as the name suggests - it is spectacular!

You're Special Watercolor Background

I love a fantastic background paired with a great sentiment. Sometimes that's all you really need to create a great card - not a lot of layers or patterned paper. You can make your inks work for you in so many different ways, so why not show them off?

Superbowl: What colors are you wearing?

When asked to make a card that involves the Super Bowl, I was so excited because even though I am not a football fan, I at least knew that Seattle had a chance and they wear my favorite colors...Lime & Navy. I had an idea of where I was going with this card, but after it was finished I am thinking....why didn't I make it into a shaker card?!? So today you get two cards.

You're Pretty Amazing

I love all the colors in the new Iridescent Creative Medium collection and couldn't decide which color to choose so I used three colors at once for my clean and simple greeting card!

Amplify Dandelions

It took me a little while to find the right design to incorporate the new Amplify product but once I did the texture and color were just perfect!

You Are Good Enough

Teddy Roosevelt was quoted as saying, “Comparison is the thief of joy”.  As artists we sometimes are caught up chasing the idea of perfection instead of appreciating how far we have come in the direction of our artistic dreams and goals.  If you love what you’re doing and continue to learn and grow,  you are already a success.  Everyone’s journey is unique.  You are good enough.  This is a canvas showing how Delicata Celestial Copper and Bronze Burst can warm up cool colors.

Happy Birthday with Creative Medium

Playing with some new Creative Medium Copper on this "manly" card. Absolutely loving the shimmer from this new product as well as the new Delicata Copper behind the sentiment. Stenciling with Creative Medium makes for a unique background and the clean up is super easy.

Memories That Last A Lifetime

Layouts are so much fun - we get to create and to capture those special moments that take hold of our hearts. I am always excited to add texture and focal points to my layouts and have done so using some of the fabulous new Creative Medium.

Steampunk Dream

The Steampunk style canvas was made dimensional by the use of Amplify!  The colors and textures were further enhanced with StazOn Studio Glaze.  This was a fun way to use the new products for a powerful effect on a small canvas.

Art of Circles with StazOn Studio Glaze

I love sun catchers and how they cast beautiful abstract designs whereever they are placed. When I got my hands on the StazOn Glaze I instantly knew I wanted to put my twist on a sun catcher of my very own.  What might that twist be? Instead of creating the usual framed piece of glass to hang in a window, I decided to upcycle an unused 6x6 acrylic stamping block! To spice it up I backed the block with patterned strips of Vertigo film.  Now I have a fun sun catcher that I can sit in virtually any window that casts not only a beautifully colored design but a design with some nifty patterns as well!

HAPPY Dimension

How cool is the new Amplify! product in all its neon puffiness?!? I can see myself using this product a lot! Perfect for flower centers, zentangle, flourishes...just about anywhere you want dimension.
