Handmade Mother's Day Memory board in bright greeens made by applying mixed media techniques to a book cover.

Mother's Day Memory Board

Scrapbooking is a great way to craft and upcycle your memory keeping. The last memory I wanted to save is of Mother’s Day, so I decided to create this keepsake using a vintage book cover, walnut ink, and Fireworks Shimmery Sprays. It's not your traditional scrapbook page, but is a great piece to see at home and treasure the memory!

Handmade floral card made on black cardstock with StazOn Pigment ink in Snowflake, Mariner Blue and Peacock Feathers

Stunning Floral Card on Black Paper

I used the new StazOn Pigment inks to create this stenciled floral background. I love the way StazOn Pigment Ink looks on dark/black card stock. This is a very easy and simple card to make because the ink is so vibrant. I used my old daubers to add the pigment on my black card stock if you do not have old dauber then consider using an InkBlusher. To make an impact on this design, I first added white ink and then the colored ink on top. This gives me a brighter vibrant impression and I like it a lot. I used a sentiment "sending hugs" stamped in black and added few details to the inside of the flowers with my white gel pen to finish the card.

Upcycle tea tin made with mixed media techniques and tools.

Upcycled Tea Tin

I love upcycling old, found items. In today's video, I give this tea tin has a fresh new shabby chic look while still holding on to that vintage feel using the VersaFine Clair ink in Fallen Leaves paired with the Walnut ink. I love this way this turned out and hopefully, you will give this project a try.

My Daddy, My Hero!

My husband is our little girl’s everything; she has him wrapped around her little finger. I have watched her eyes light up from the time she was just a little baby to now almost turning eight whenever he walks into the room. This poem says it all!

Last Minute Gifts—Three Dimensional Vertigo Christmas Ornament

It is so fun to create a beautiful ornament during the busy Christmas holiday. I often craft hand-made gifts for friends or co-workers to celebrate the season, as well as new ornaments for our personal Christmas tree. This Vertigo ornament is also perfect for an ornament exchange and is easy to produce with just a few supplies and tools.

Charming Dog Tags

It’s always nice to have little gifts on hand for last minute gifts. These “charming” dog tags can be made quickly and depending on the jewelry findings you add they could be used for necklaces, earrings, charm bracelets, zipper pulls, or even key chains. By varying the stamped images and embellishments they could be for either guys or gals on your unexpected list of gifts.

DIY Studio Glaze Canvas Key Holder

The problem with moving to a new home, one of the problems I should say, is finding new locations to put things.  I like to know where my keys are so I don’t waste time looking for them when it is time to go and I’m already running late!  I decided this small canvas would be just the thing, not only is it pretty but so useful!   I can hang my car keys on it the minute I walk in the house.

StazOn Metal FX Pumpkins

Autumn is my favorite time of year but it seems to fly by so quickly.  I am always trying to stretch the season out as long as possible and one of the ways I do so is with home decor projects.  These fun faux pumpkins look amazing with StazOn Metallic inks paired with a bit of Tuxedo Black Pico Embellisher.  The best part is they will look beautiful not only this year but for years to come!
