Handmade coffee themed card featuring white stamping on vellum.

What would I do without Coffee Card

For this card I used the fabulous StazOn Pigment ink in Snowflake! This ink is AMAZING! It stamps crisp and dries fast on multiple surfaces. I make a fun everyday coffee card by stamping and coloring on vellum, and show you how to create a simple and fun card using StazOn Pigment Snowflake.

Handmade winter snow themed card featuring spinning snowflakes.

Snowflake Spinner Card

I adore blue and silver as a holiday color scheme (or any time of year, for that matter). I created this card with a frosted-looking inside scene (courtesy of Creative Medium mixed with VersaColor) and a fun spinner element in the front-panel frame. The Rinea foiled paper is sturdy enough to hold its shape, even when cut so delicately, making this card a real display piece for the holidays.

Handmade card featuring a monochromatic look made with karft cardstock and copper inks and embossing powders.

Monochromatic Christmas Card

Creating a monochromatic card was easy when using some Delicata Celestial Copper and Copper Embossing powder. Watch my video below to see exactly how I did it.

Handmade placecard name tag holder in the shape of a cornucopia made with Rinea foil and Memento Markers.

Cornucopia Table Place Cards

Since Rinea foil papers are gorgeous on both sides, I wanted to make something with them that showed off that feature. Paper “sculptures” are good for this, and with the Thanksgiving holidays approaching, a cornucopia seemed the best way to go. It’s a simple shape in that it’s mostly a cone, but to give it a little of a curve, the pattern I’ve devised shifts the “spine” bit by bit on the bottom half of the sheet to add just enough curve to keep things interesting. These place card holders work up quickly, so preparing a table-full will still leave you with plenty of time for holiday fun.

Handmade paper gingerbread garland made with StazOn Studio Glaze from Tsukineko

Gingerbread House Garland

Die cuts and a few choice supplies combine to create this darling little gingerbread house garland. Not only is it perfect for the holidays, it’s an ideal craft to let kids help decorate (after the embossing is done!) and it would also look super sweet at a fairy tale themed event—think Hansel and Gretel and the witch’s house in the woods. A fun technique used in this project is layering the StazOn Studio Glaze while still wet. Drawing the tip of the Claret StazOn Studio Glaze bottle over the Cotton White made for near-seamless candy cane stripes once dried. Also, I’ve found it helps to be very generous with the Cotton White, especially on darker papers or backgrounds, if you want it to retain some opacity.

Handmade Christmas card featuring an Owl in a wreath.

Quick and Easy Owl Christmas Card

Stamping over Delicata Inks with another ink like VersaFine Clair or Memento Inks creates such a cool shimmery effect.

See How to Create a Family Tree Wall Hanging

For this project, I stamped the sentiment “Love Blossoms Here” onto watercolor paper, personalized it with alphabet stamps, added wire hanging and added a book paper backing to represent the family stories that get created along the way and then passed on. Keep reading to see how I created this lovely home decor piece.

Two spring themed handmade greeting cards featuring rainboot images.

Rainboots Themed "Happy Spring" Card

VersaMagic inks have a longer drying time so they are perfect to use with stencils where you can use multiple colors, and even blend them if desired. I love to use stencils, but I really don't like to waste the ink that is left on them. Rather than clean the stencil, I like to lightly spritz the inked side of the stencil, flip it over, and place it on the second piece of cardstock creating a watercolored panel. See how I created two cards with the same stencil!

A simple and elegant shabby chic wedding table setting including a napkin ring, menu card holder, cutlery placeholder and glass coasters all with a white doily theme.

Simple, Elegant and Inexpensive Wedding Table Setting

Planning to make wedding table decorations? I've planned out an idea for this that is based on easy-to-find supplies, not requiring crafting machines or things that would be difficult to use after this project is complete. I also was interested in it being easy to prepare but still elegant. By creating several easy-to-make matching pieces, the cost of the basic crafting supplies is still quite low per setting.

Using the kraft cardstock as the background, you have the option to play with more color choices on the embossing powder or the dyed flowers with the Fireworks! Simmery Craft Sprays. I estimate of the cost for 100 place-settings is about $150. One A3 kraft page makes an entire setting.

Christmas card featuring a flocked Pinecone created using Radiant Neon Amplify. Using a paper card base and a vellum overlay, Nadine Carlier's Christmas card is a fun yet elegant design.

How to Amplify Your Holiday Cards

Using Neon Radiant Amplify on holiday cards is a fabulous way to create a snowy effect. On my card today I used Amplify in white with a stencil and some Dark Brown Shimmer Delicata Ink. I am really loving how the pinecone on my card looks like it is flocked with snow!
