Handmade Mother's Day Memory board in bright greeens made by applying mixed media techniques to a book cover.

Mother's Day Memory Board

Scrapbooking is a great way to craft and upcycle your memory keeping. The last memory I wanted to save is of Mother’s Day, so I decided to create this keepsake using a vintage book cover, walnut ink, and Fireworks Shimmery Sprays. It's not your traditional scrapbook page, but is a great piece to see at home and treasure the memory!

Blue mixed media canvas with embossed elements and the words

Rebel Genius Canvas with Stamped Embossing

To create this cool Rebel Canvas I used the new MBoss Hologram embossing powder with a fun, classic technique to create a stamped impression in the embossing powder. The new Hologram embossing powder is soooo gorgeous and fun to use. I love that the new MBoss packaging allows for precision application and easy cleanup!

Decorated canvas made with a galaxy theme using StazOn Pigment on Black Chalk.

Galaxy Themed Mixed Media Canvas

I used StazOn Pigment ink in many of the gorgeous, vibrant new colors on a black chalkboard background and the colors look fantastic! You can even see the purple on black...WHAT?! You have to see for yourself. This project couldn't have been created successfully without the new StazOn Pigment ink. It is opaque, so it shows up great on dark surfaces AND it has all of the wonderful properties that the original StazOn has—it can be applied to many different surfaces and dries quickly. I think I've found a new obsession.

Mixed Media statement piece with a quote, made by upcyclcing a piece of packaging.

Upcycled Mixed Media Statement Piece

The inspiration for this piece was the quote I included on the canvas. I am forever on the lookout for inspiring and uplifting quotes. Things that make you think, or give you the push you need to move forward. I really also love working with upcycled materials. We don't need more trash in the landfills, right?! I knew that my Imagine mixed media products would work wonders to make this piece come alive! When i'm working with resin pieces, I always reach for my Fireworks sprays and All-Purpose Ink. They both cover beautifully. This quote on the canvas is very near to my heart and all of the elements came together perfectly to give it a home.

Hand painted canvas using stamps and inks to make a image inspired by Impressionism

Stamping inspired by Impressionism

We all need a little inspiration sometimes and, for this project, I took my inspiration from the Impressionism style of paintings from the 1860s.  It resulted in a fun project using the All-Purpose inks and other Imagine products to create a miniature floral scene on a 4”x4” flat panel canvas.

Learn How To Make Three Unique Bowls Using Polyform Clay inked with StazOn ink and VersaMagic ink

Learn How To Make Three Unique Bowls Using Polyform Clay

Ink is not just for paper. You can use it on fabric, metal and more specifically Polyform clay. You can use inks to transform polymer clay projects into a wide variety of pieces. Use ink to simply color your clays projects, use with stamps to add designs, or blend it into the clay to create a new color clay. For this project, I create three different bowls using Sculpey Souffle clay with VesaMagic Dew Drop and StazOn inks and demonstrate several techniques when using inks. Hope I pique your interest and give these projects a try.

See How to Create a Family Tree Wall Hanging

For this project, I stamped the sentiment “Love Blossoms Here” onto watercolor paper, personalized it with alphabet stamps, added wire hanging and added a book paper backing to represent the family stories that get created along the way and then passed on. Keep reading to see how I created this lovely home decor piece.

See How to Make Faux Agate

How to make my own Faux Blue Agate Slices with Imagine IrRESISTibles and Tsukineko products. These gems are perfect to use as accents on scrapbook layouts, journal pages, cards, and even as a necklace. This project takes 2 full days to complete.

Go Confidently In The Direction of Your Dreams

I love large background stamps! Especially the ones using beautiful, romantic scripts. There is nothing easier to create your own custom backgrounds with these stamps, some embossing powder and pigment ink.

My Daddy, My Hero!

My husband is our little girl’s everything; she has him wrapped around her little finger. I have watched her eyes light up from the time she was just a little baby to now almost turning eight whenever he walks into the room. This poem says it all!
