\r\n I am a mixed media artist, instructor, Certified Zentangle Teacher and frequent contributor to numerous craft magazines and four adult coloring books. I am a native Southern Californian now living in Myrtle Beach, SC. My crafting journey began almost twenty years ago when I started scrapbooking. It didn’t take me long to figure out that those supplies could be used to create cards and other projects. On a whim I submitted my work to a stamping magazine and after it was published I continued to push my skill set to answer challenges on a monthly basis. I was introduced to Imagine and Tsukineko products through a chance meeting with John Creighton Petersen when he was demoing products at a local scrapbooking store. John showed me so many more ways to use the products and eventually invited me to be a member of the first AIRs design team. My work is not pretty and delicate but instead it is whimsical, grungy and highly textured. I’ve taught many people to see how freeing mixed media art can be and that everyone has an artist within themselves trying to get out. Most people are surprised when they learn to tap into that part of themselves and are able to put it down on paper. It brings me so much joy in my life to help others to express themselves artistically.
