\r\n Hi ya, I'm Melissa and I currently reside in Mason, OH.  I'm married to a wonderful husband that supports all of my crafty habits. Together, we have three children, a rambunctious 3 year old boy, a precocious 8 year old girl and a blossoming teenage girl. During the day I work in a research lab in Endocrinology but in the evening I'm typically found in my little craft space working away.
\r\n
\r\n I have always loved art and all things creative but didn't start crafting until 2009. I fell madly in love with stamps and inks and eventually card making. I owe so much to those crafters and artists that inspired and taught me along my journey and I continue to learn from the wonderful art and crafting community. I feel my science background allows me to understand the chemical properties of a number of my craft products and therefore I am able to experiment and play without hesitation.
\r\n
\r\n My crafting style is a combination of cute projects like cards, as well dark and moody mixed media art. I love to color and feel that is probably what I'm best at. The medium can vary from markers to watercolors to inks. I mostly make cards but have a number of scrapbook layouts, journal pages and craft projects that I also enjoy. I was published in the Copic Coloring Guide Level 3: People in 2012 and have continued to learn and play with coloring since.
\r\n
\r\n I started my crafting journey on a number of design teams including Tiddly Inks and Whimsy Stamps and still enjoy working on these teams. I'm absolutely thrilled to be part of the 2018 Artist in Residence team with Imagine.  This is truly a special experience and I hope to inspire and teach as part of this wonderful Imagine and Tsukineko community.
