\r\n My name is Kassy and I have been creating my entire life. I am fortunate to have grown up in a family of extremely talented artists. From seamstress to painter, from musician to woodworker, my family has always been creating. My Nana taught me that anything is possible if you truly believe it. My momma has taught me to never give up on my dreams. Creativity is good for the soul and I believe there is room for it in everyone’s life. My goal is to inspire others to find their creative voice.

\r\n

\r\n I love making handmade greeting cards for my friends and family.  Making cards is a great way to keep the creative juices flowing, even if you only have a few minutes. It also feels more personal to give someone an original card, rather than something picked off the store shelf. I often create backgrounds for cards while exploring a new product or technique and keep a stack of them ready for the proper occasion. I also experiment on manila tags of all sizes. They look great on a gift or card front and they are quick and easy to make.

\r\n

\r\n My most recent passion is mixed media and 3D objects. Of course, as I think about this, I could also say my other favorites are watercolor painting and art journaling! I am just beginning to learn about acrylic flow art and encaustic painting and I suspect they will be just as addicting. I have always said I could never be bored, as there is far too much to discover! I really love incorporating my photography in my mixed media pieces as well. When I think about my style, a couple of words come to mind, COLOR and TEXTURE!! I am seriously addicted to texture and great colors that take your breath away and make your heart skip a beat. I really love working with recycled materials and giving old, tired items new life.
