Sometimes creating a flat card is just not good enough, sometimes something different is refreshing. For today I created an accordion fold card inside a little box. Not only can it be used for the card, you can add a small gift inside for the recipient too.
My decorating style includes using fun vintage children’s blocks to spell out various words that might celebrate a holiday or add whimsy to a shelf.
Enjoy the journey as much as the destination and record every memory made along the way in this fun, easy collage style travel journal.
Remember the days when we drove around with Thomas Guides in our cars? Big books of maps that not only helped you navigate the area but you had to learn how to navigate the book! Today the maps are likely outdated but quite useful for all sorts of projects.

We don’t have a name for “Tacky Tourists” in Germany. But it’s a really good and funny description for these kind of travelers and I think, we should have a German word for them. For this card I created a new road sign. A couple of years ago, my BFF Dagmar and I visited the Gizeh Pyramides at Kairo, Agypt.
Isn't it funny all of the little bits and pieces you collect on a road trip...everything from bottle caps, sea shells collected on the beach, sand saved in tiny bottles to the tacky tourist offerings like plastic hula dolls, pink rubber flamingos and the ever popular key chains. Well this kitschy shadow box is just the ticket to save all those funky bits in one place.

Do you have some old T-Shirts in the closet that you never wear because they are just too plain? Dress them up with a stencil and an ink pad. The first swipe of ink always make me nervous (it is a $3 t-shirt after all), but then we you see your shirt coming to life, it is super fun!
Is your husband or son still thinking your hobby is just for women? I've made a men’s shirt, perfect for summer time, that will convince them otherwise! Since Martin (my husband) has seen it he’s attended to my colors, stamps and stencils in a whole new way. This shirt is a great way to involve everyone in your crafting endevours.
