I love a versatile tool and the Dewlet die is just that. The perfect little (but not too little) teardrop for petals, leaves, raindrops, balloons, and whatever else you think of. In this card, I’ve used the die as a stencil to draw out a pattern as well as a die to cut out shapes in that pattern. And that simple repeating pattern gets jazzed up with pen detailing, glitter, and a couple of shaker windows, too.
If you get the blues being away from friends and family, this is a sweet card to say how much you miss them. Change up the color scheme or sentiment, though, and it could easily be a baby or wedding shower card. Add some flowers and you’ve got an April Showers card. All from a simple repeating background and a few well-chosen embellishments.

How about a little out-of-this-world fun? When trying to come up with a unique card I thought of the theme aliens, so created this sky scene with shades of grey and silver and drew up some simple saucers to decorate the skies.
One tiny stamp and VersaFine in Onyx Black creates a cute and simple card design. I stamped the open line flower and then used the Irresistible Pico Embellisher to fill the petals. The shine you get after the product dries is breathtaking.
I stamped a beautiful flower bunch from Simon Says Stamp with Brilliance Ink on a watercolor paper. I added some water on a small scoop of Walnut Crystals and painted the entire bunch with it. This is a monotonic theme card and I have used only one pigment to create all the highlights and shadows. I stamped a simple sentiment with Pinecone Versafine Clair ink and the painted panel is ready.
Layering stencils are trending now and we can create beautiful designs and make techniques with the different patterns.
Summer can be busy with a hype of activities outside! But just in case there are days when you feel like staying inside you can beat the heat with a cardmaking session. In this tutorial, I go over some basic techniques that you can use on a variety of designs.
VersaMagic inks have a longer drying time so they are perfect to use with stencils where you can use multiple colors. I love to use stencils. Rather than clean the stencil, I like to lightly spritz the inked side of the stencil, flip it over, and place it on the second piece of cardstock creating a watercolored panel.
With the new VersaFine Clair inks, I can stamp in color, achieve crisp clear images and create fun effects. See how I put together this quick and easy Valentine's Day theme card with three inks from Tsukineko.

Embossing is the easy way to create texture in papercrafts. But, did you know you can layer different embossing powders on the same paper? Double embossing is simple, fun and you only need to understand embossing basics to achieve this cool effect.
Fireworks! spray provides an easy way to turn simple white papers into vibrant, colorful backgrounds for card projects. When working on one-layer projects, the stamped image needs to be protected with a mask to avoid the wet ink getting on the main image. For this technique, no special supplies are needed as the masks are created using cheap masking tape and baking paper or wax paper. This technique can be used for various projects; ATC’s, standard sized cards, scrapbook layouts, and art journal pages.

When I had these neon colors in my hands I couldn't resist the idea to create something fun and happy. In today's project I used the Amplifly over stencil to create design and texture, and Kaleidacolor ink to make a smooched water coloring for my background.
I love large background stamps! Especially the ones using beautiful, romantic scripts. There is nothing easier to create your own custom backgrounds with these stamps, some embossing powder and pigment ink.
I suffer from a nearly lifelong love of poetry. Okay, the suffering? Not so much. The thing I love about poetry is that a single, simple wellturned phrase can take me someplace far away. Such is the case with much of the poetry by Robert Frost, but especially with his poem, “Stopping By Woods on a Snowy Evening”.
It is time to head into a brand New Year, and with this card we can celebrated 2016. Edit to the upcoming year for a fantastic way to bring in a fresh new energy. There are only two inks used for this card, VersaMark Watermark and Memento Tuxedo Black. Enjoy!
New Year's for me is when you start a new year of life, a new opportunity, a new calendar or simply when you want to celebrate something new. Today I created a special card for our New Year's Inspiration Challenge. Come and enjoy with me!
I used several techniques and many fun products to create this sweet elephant card. Let me show you how.
Despite winter’s chill, there are two things warming my heart these days: Christmas fun and the upcoming SciFi goodness of both Star Wars and Star Trek. Since I have quite a few fellow geeks on my Christmas list, I thought--why not combine the two? After all, what’s colder than space? This card is also perfect for any long-distance holiday greeting, space-fan or not.
With the winter holidays coming soon [Christmas, Hanukkah and Kwanzaa] I decided to start with the first of three, Hanukkah, known as the ‘festival of lights.’ Here’s the card and ‘how to’ tutorial…enjoy!
One of my favorite holiday traditions is the choosing of the Christmas tree! We could take the easy route and go to a lot and select a pre-cut tree but it so much more fun to traipse around acres of trees and find the “perfect” tree. Well, I think so anyway, don’t ask my husband.
The beauty of the world of imagination is that you have easy access to it whenever you desire to just go there. This card reflects that ethereal blend of colors that looks whimsical, romantic and mysterious all at the same time. Check it out!
Burrrr, who’s a better authority about the cold than polar bears? Nobody I know! Use Amplify in White on this holiday card!
Christmas is soon coming and I really like how much depth and dimension can be achieved by using the vibrant and lovely colors of Kaleidacolor inks. Perfect for Holiday season :)
Who says you can’t add texture without the bulk. This card is jam-packed with all sorts of fun textures and dimension both real and faux to create a treat for the eyes and hands.
We are just sailing through this month and Thanksgiving is almost here. Maybe you have friends or family that can’t be at your table this year and you want to send them a little something. This happy card is easy to make and sure to put a smile on a loved ones face.
Thanksgiving is a lovely time of year spent with family and friends but it’s also time to give thanks for the bounty of the harvest for the year. Here’s to all of the farmers that make a bountiful Thanksgiving possible…Thanks for all your hard work.
Create interesting backgrounds using resist effects with StazOn Studio Glaze. It’s quick and easy and the effect is amazing. For this Vintage Christmas card I used a blue and brown combination with white resist giving this card a lovely old world feel.
Memento Luxe ink pads offer such lovely subtle colors, they allow you to blend different shades of one color to get a really unique result. This card showcases not only the ink pad colors but also the matching Memento Markers combined to create a green on green card.
I love Fall. My friends and family born between September and November always receive a Fall themed card. Today I am showing you how to make such a card and as an added bonus, I have used a little Creative Medium Copper to cover up a huge mistake. SAVE!
Bringing Ombre into this century can't be any easier - simply grab your Kaleidacolor ink pads. I remember getting my very first Kaleidacolor ink pad some 15 years ago - yes you heard me that long ago - its the same one used here today and I am as much in love today as then, but realized that I don't use them often enough though. I love the rainbow colors and the possibilities these ink pads offer. Lets explore...
Cathy Andronicou shows you how to knock out multiple cards in one go. This stunning and time saving technique will have you creating wonderful holiday ready cards in no time!
When the challenge came in to use Kaleidacolor ink pads I knew straight away exactly what I wanted to create. I adore this very old technique for creating a resist background and have found that Kaleidacolor is the only ink that will do this effect any sort of justice. I hope that you enjoy it too. Thanks for visiting.
This vibrant watercolor inspired kaleidacolor card is a perfect pick-me-up for the Fall days!

When we were asked to create a project with movement I knew immediately what I wanted to do…a telescoping card! This project incorporates so many things I love…metallics in the form of Metallic Creative Medium, Steampunk designs, rubber stamping and sheets of mica – Mother Natures own form of glitter. Let’s get “moving” and make this telescoping card come to life.
The image on my card is one of a lady who should be in the no judgement zone since she has her own style and is proud of it! May we all promote peace, love and understanding every day so we can have these beneficial feelings at least in our small part of the world.
When asked to do a project for Peace, Love and Understanding, I immediately grabbed for this oh so cute stamp and die set. In the background you will find "I Love You" in French and Braille, stamped with an ink pad so close to Kraft, you can barely tell its there.
For International Day of Peace, I wanted to create something airy, with a positive mood subtending this sad situation. There is confusion but also hope everywhere.
International Day of Peace is a time to celebrate our global unity and the wonderful things that bring us together! This colorful sentiment is great for anyone who is far away but near in your heart.
When my kids were little, one of our favorite things to do was to gaze up at the sky and look for shapes in the clouds. Of course after rain storms we were looking for rainbows. This card combines both with Radiant Neon Amplify! Check it out!
When creating a mixed-media project it is fun and interesting to have lots of texture. This panel can be used as a piece of home decor or you can make a card using the technique, whatever direction your muse leads you in.

We all have art supplies that we feel we cannot create without. For most artists that list changes from time to time depending on the new releases that just keep getting better and better. A product at the top of my list right now is Iridescent Creative Medium paste. Here is one of a series of panels created using that product.
Memento inks are so versatile and I can use them for my favorite coloring technique – Watercolor! The colors stay true and are so easy to blend, they are my go to when I want to make a beautiful spring themed watercolor card.
See how Tear It Tape can adhere burlap to paper in this Seashell Ocean card.

Sometimes you just want to let your friend how much they mean to you. Making them a special card will do just that…with a bit of sparkle, some shine and shimmer your love will shine…one inch at a time!
“No great achievement is accomplished without a bit of hard work.” So true so true and Labor Day is the perfect day to kick back and acknowledge those achievements!
"You are braver than you believe, stronger than you seem, smarter than you think and loved more than you know.” There are opportunities daily to show our support to other women who may be fighting battles that we are completely unaware of. Why not give that support with a card?
This is my Woman’s Equality Day project with a little wink. It shows the original 1971 Resolution Text in the background (thank you Wikipedia). Ladies, everyone of us has got the power to make the world a little bit better day by day. We delite ourself and others with our handmade gifts, cards and decorations. So let’s craft :)
I love this sentiment paired with boot steps and a doily stencil. Tough and soft at the same time. Who in your life could use a card like this? Your mom, sister, friend, coworker? I will be sending this one to a friend that just got a promotion at work…she will love it!
Here’s a salute to all the women I know…and that goes for you! We don’t take credit for all the super things we do on a day to day basis…from stay-at-home mom’s taking care of homes, their family and all the extra errands that randomly pop up. Check out this super woman card!
Fun embossing, cute washi tape and for those in my generation, a super fun Viewmaster!
This card is dedicated to the one of the greats. Julia Child brought the pleasure of French cuisine to American kitchens at a time when marshmellow flush was considered a delicacy. So here's to you Julia, Happy Birthday!
Monoprinting makes a lot of fun and offers a wide variety of options to create several layers on a project. Experimenting with this technique using only my craft mat, I found out that Radiant Neon Amplify! is the perfect color to add new dimension and feel to the surface.
I love creating colorful cards and the same goes if it's masculine. I get inspired by colors and this fun Kaleidacolor (Blue Breeze) was the starting point of my card.
I have discovered you can watercolor with almost any medium. Today I am using irRESISTible Pico’s. This is such a fun image to color and with the Pico’s, you can give the gumballs a little something extra.
This card works like a sudoku puzzle. It comes along with several letters and embellishment. Because of using Tack’n’Peel, everything adheres non-permanent on the surface, so you can spend a lot of funny time combining it and trying to find out how many words, phrases and designs are possible to create. Hubby had a lot of fun with the possibilities.
I like the colors of Spring! The Brilliance Pearlescent inks are just perfect for the subtle shine and lightness for this time of the year!
Here is a gift tag that reflects a personality. Fun to make and even more fun to give away, it can double as a bookmark.
Sometimes creating a flat card is just not good enough, sometimes something different is refreshing. For today I created an accordion fold card inside a little box. Not only can it be used for the card, you can add a small gift inside for the recipient too.
The lazy days of summer are just about over, so I thought a shaker card with real sand from Clearwater Beach, Florida might be a fun card to send someone in the north, to remind them of their vacation memories.
Remember the days when we drove around with Thomas Guides in our cars? Big books of maps that not only helped you navigate the area but you had to learn how to navigate the book! Today the maps are likely outdated but quite useful for all sorts of projects.
We don’t have a name for “Tacky Tourists” in Germany. But it’s a really good and funny description for these kind of travelers and I think, we should have a German word for them. For this card I created a new road sign. A couple of years ago, my BFF Dagmar and I visited the Gizeh Pyramides at Kairo, Agypt.
Show your thanks with this shimmering bold sentiment from Artist in Residence Carisa Zglobicki.
Combining Stars and Stripes is always fun. I haven'tt used my awesome Radiant Neon inks for a little while now, so that inspired me to create a rainbow of stars:)
I really adore how this card came out, especially when I took it outside to photograph, the 3D elements cast wonderful shadows over the front of the stark white card stock giving it a completely different look to what I had imagined when I first thought of what to create.
I love red and blue, I love America - so when I have the chance to create something that is so close to my heart I really am in crafting heaven. This card celebrates my love for this amazing country and some real crafting goodness all thrown into one gorgeous themed card.
Father's Day is celebrated around the world -not always at the same time, here in the Southern hemisphere we celebrate in September. I never miss an opportunity to create a card celebrating the dads. I always love texture on a masculine card and it is so easy to add as you will see from my tutorial.
There are so many occasions to make and give masculine cards. A friend of ours recently had a baby and the new Dad would certainly enjoy knowing he was not forgotten in all of the excitement! See this masculine card project.
Choose blues, browns or greens and it is sure to be appreciated by the men in your life. Nothing screams manly like Nautical and Woodgrain themes.
Do you have a poker face? Surprise your loved one with this fun masculine aces book. Works great for birthday's or Father's Day!

There is something undeniably beautiful about a wedding - friends and family come together to support and celebrate those exchanging vows and becoming one. Make a keepsake for your next wedding event.
Love is definitely in the air this time of the year! Here is a special Bridal Shower card for that bride that likes to mix it up a bit. This not your traditional card but a tiny mixed media piece of art. You can have fun using the Bride's colors and flowers, whatever you like to personalize it.
My sweetheart and I were married way back in 1986, right out of high school. At that time I knew nothing of the fun stuff the paper arts world had in store for me. See how I made this puzzle piece card to celebrate our union.
StazOn Studio Glaze is a perfect way to add bright vibrant colors when spread on your project but it can also provide amazing depth and texture which is why I used it both ways on my wedding make-over place cards. Since my colors are blue and gold I decided to use blue for our female guests and gold for the male guests.
When my husband and I originally got married they didn't even have "Save the Date" announcements so I thought it would be fun to create one. I wanted to include the puzzle theme - "two become one" as well as the polka dots and this is what I came up with.
Tina McDonald shows you how easy it is to make beautiful wedding decor using Versamark and Embossing Powder. Who says you have to spend a fortune to have your special day look like like a million bucks?

Graduation is such a special day as they walk across the stage to receive their diplomas. It is the end of childhood and a beginning into adulthood. Commemorate your graduate with a specially made card to recognize their achievement. Simple to make, just change the colors to coincide with your school theme.
This little flower pot holds more than posies...pull up on the flowers and you've got a nifty little hiding spot for a gift card. I've included the template for the flower pot in the tutorial for easy assemblages. Happy crafting!
As soon as I heard the theme for this project was gift card holders, I immediately thought of a pocket card. Of course with my own little twist. It is the perfect way to be a little bit 'sneaky' with an unexpected gift...as you will see from my tutorial. Enjoy!
Gift cards, money or homemade coupons, this is a great way to give them to your special person. It also doubles as a cute storage envelope for all of their monetary gifts. This is fun to make and easy to change the gift theme.
Some times it is just so much simpler to give that picky Teenager a gift card than buy a gift. I never know what to buy my nieces mainly because they have everything twice over already! I decided to create a slider card and figured that I could hide a gift card within the mechanism.
Ready for summer? Memorial Day kicks off summer in the US and this card is great for sending greetings or using as an invitation to a July 4th BBQ.
A special thank you to all who have served our great nation yesterday and today.
Nothing says Memorial Day to me like an American flag. We artist are never happy unless we are grunging, distressing or finding new ways to present an old custom. Let me show you how to achieve a new look for Old Glory.

My mom loves birds and so for this Mother's day I wanted to make a card that incorporates a little birdie. Thankfully I have some really cute stamps and with the help of the amazing StazOn Studio Glaze I could add some really amazing color to my image. For my sentiment I used two stamps and stamped them in different colors for a fun look.
Have you been inspired by the Bokeh style backgrounds found on Pinterest? Carisa Zglobicki shows you how easy it is to create this style of background using IMAGINE Crafts' Fireworks craft sprays and Memento Luxe ink.
Mother's Day is one day of the year that is common to us all, we all have or have had a Mother, what better way to say 'I love you' than with flowers! The beautiful flowers featured on this card will not wilt or fade.

Some days you just have to create your own sunshine. This sentiment is true not only for the turbulent weather of Spring time but also in creating art. One of the ways I like to create my own artsy sunshine is monoprinting. A fun and easy technique that yields a sky full of sunshine every time.
New trends in papercrafting and mixed media are using a Gelli Plate. I have found that the Craft Mat by Imagine Crafts works like a charm without the added expense. Let me show you how easy it is to incorporate this technique into your next card project.
Working with the Gelli Plate is one of the hottest trends right now, and I have to admit that I don't own one. I've really wanted to experiment with the monoprinting technique, and I soon discovered the the IMAGINE Crafts Craft Mat is perfect for achieving the same results!
This is fun way to take your favorite colors and create your own watercolor backgrounds using the IMAGINE Crafts Craft Mat as your working surface. Here are a couple of versions using similar color combinations.
Gelli Printing is a firm favorite of mine because it offers the ability to just play and experiment - and with the wonderful inks and mediums available it is such a joy creating textures. A great alternative to the Gelli Plate is to use the Craft Mat to create faux Gelli prints for some quick cards.

"April Showers" in the Southern Hemisphere are slightly different than those in the Northern hemisphere - we are heading from summer to Autumn/Fall and April Showers are more than welcome but bring with them a reminder that we are heading to cooler tempertures and...rain! This is my inspiration for this card.
Make an April BABY Shower card! with Pico embellished umbrellas! Check it out!
After a long, cold winter here in New England the thought of Spring flowers is a little ray of hope and sunshine in all of our lives! This card shows how brilliant yet simple a Spring card can be created using a stencil and Creative Medium Metallics.
In Germany we say "April, April, der macht was er will“ which means the weather in April is capricious. It could be rainy or sunny- almost like summer time here. “April showers bring May flowers” is the American adage. And this card suits to both countries! This card is very simple to make and has a surprising illusion effect.

It's that time of the year where the kids get to find all of those eggs hidden in the yard. What a perfect idea for creating a fun card - an Easter basket filled with brightly decorated eggs!
Since Easter is fast approaching, I got inspired by the colored eggs I plan to decorate with my daughter. And this time of the year I really enjoy watching the eggs hatching and then small chicks coming out of them.

I love playing with Pico's and with Spring just around the corner, this is a fun embossing folder to play with. I've kept it fairly simply, but I can envision a really colorful zentangle with all the Pico colors.
My favorite season of the year is Spring, watching the world come alive. I wanted to create a freehand card that is simple to replicate that didn't involve any stamping or stencils, just my interpretation of the trees and flowers around me.
Inspired by the beautiful colors of Spring when everything is fresh and in full bloom, so I created this quick card. For my focal point elements I chose this gorgeous soft linen flower in cream and then added color to it using the Radiant Neon ink pads.
Who doesn't love Peeps - these sweet treats are popping up everywhere this time of year. I knew when I saw these little bunny stamps for the first time they would look spectacular covered with a layer of bright, colorful Radiant Neon Amplify!
I absolutely love St. Patrick's day – my grandfather had a bit 'o Irish blood in him so in a way I can honor him and have a wee bit of fun too! I adore the new Imagine Crafts Creative Medium! It is so easy to use and clean up, you will find it hard to go wrong. It dries relatively quickly and does not have an offensive smell, two things that are very important to me in a product. When I created my tester pieces I fell instantly in love with the Blue so had to use it on a proper project first, what better than a background for a spring inspired card.
The texture from the new Amplify is so fluffy! It reminds me of a sheep's wool, so here's a fun and card that I created in celebration of Chinese New Year, the Year of the Sheep.
With the Ombre trend still very much alive and well, I was inspired to create a little Ombre magic on this Love themed card using my Radiant Neon Electric ink pad.

Valentine's Day always makes me think of red and pink – and those are the colors I chose to create this Clean and Simple greeting card, accented with a little bling heart in the bottom corner to carry the heart theme throughout this card.
I love the rustic look achieved roughly smoothing out the metallic creative medium! Once dry you find some jagged edges and variations in color that add interest to the card.
The Radiant Neon inks make me happy... I adore the pop of color they give, especially against a black background! When I sat down to make this card, my goal was to make something lovey-dovey but still have it usable for a guy or a girl, and for any occasion that a 'hello' was needed. You never know when you'll need to grab a virtual hug from your stash to send out!
It is always exciting to play with new product – even more so when it is a new Delicata ink – I love the shimmer of these – the richness of Celestial Copper is divine – a picture speaks a thousand words – so I will let the tutorial speak for itself.
Last year I made a card I really loved for my husband, and I thought since Valentine’s Day was fast approaching I’d re-create it this year! I used a gray and yellow color scheme for the original version as it wasn’t an actual valentine.

When asked to make a card that involves the Super Bowl, I was so excited because even though I am not a football fan, I at least knew that Seattle had a chance and they wear my favorite colors...Lime & Navy.
